This establishment has unprofessional business practices so it's sad that the pizza doesn't taste bad. Everyone in my group was over-charged for our orders here. I was charged $4.90 after tax in store (which actually ended up being $5.07 on my credit card statement) on a slice of pizza that really should've been $4.63 ($4.25 + 8.875% food/beverage tax). When I asked for an explanation as to why my final charge was more expensive than expected based on the advertised price, the cashier tried to say that the final cost was due to the tax - since when does New York have a ~15-19% tax rate on food lol. I questioned this suspicious tax rate and then the cashier tried to say the menu on the board was outdated and the real price was in the paper menus... Then he double checked the paper menus which apparently also listed $4.25 for that particular slice so he backtracked and said that it was his mistake as he wrote the wrong numbers into the POS machine, and ended up giving me some change back in cash.
If you want to include a hidden tourist tip, or kitchen/local business fee, or dine-in fee to recoup on credit card fees, in the very least you should be able to properly explain it to customers when they inquire about the cost discrepancy rather than just give some complete nonsense reasons for the...
Read moreOctober 19/2025 - It’s Pasta Day’s Sunday for me in NYC!
Ok. Before giving my review, I have a few questions for you ! 1- Have you ever been in Italy ? 2- Do you know what is a good pasta about? 3- How full you like to be after eating ? Reason why I asked you these three questions in to share my experience with this restaurante that reminded me all my trips to that great country . Pasta is very Italian - Al dente! I had a linguini pasta with chicken parmigiana. Very, but very Italian . And what it means ? Pasta is pasta ! In the right consistency and visually attractive. Tomato sauce is tomato sauce - it tastes tomatoes and please don’t expect more than that - like in Rome, fresh tomatoes are the stars of a great pasta !! ! Portion is generous , as in Italy , and I could not be happier with all these details coming together in the same day at the same place . Everything is juicy , succulent, red and hot as in Rome, trust me . The manager/owner or whoever is that guy in the cashier is very charismatic , with a beautify accent and a tanned skin , reminding us what is the Mediterranean landscape like . A great experience for those who like a good food, with the simplicity and generosity only a few...
Read morePrompt service and very flavorful pizza! Dropped by last night after a hellish 16 hour flight (12/12/2024) for pizza as a default, being too exhausted to try to figure anything else out. The pizza was your quintessential NYC slice, but unlike the original Brooklyn style that was just cheap sauce with cheap cheese on thin and floppy crust, this pizza had a robust and even slightly sweet sauce (sweetness in sauce isn’t for everyone, but it wasn’t overpowering and pairs great with spicier toppings).
I ordered three slices. The fresh mozzarella with mushroom and basil, the chicken Parmesan (I think) with pineapple, and the pepperoni and sausage. Was intending to eat one slice last night and bring the rest for my train ride north this morning…alas I pigged out and finished it all before 4AM (whoops). Even enjoyed the pep/sausage with a glass of Italian Nebbiolo in my hotel room. For a real treat I do recommend Roma Pizza spicy meat slices paired with a good Nebbiolo. Planning on going back for a slice or two to bring with me on the way home today. Highly recommended if you are in the area and looking for a quick, tasty, and affordable slice!
Ignore the few haters…the low raters clearly have...
