This place is related to Italian food like a pug is descended from a wolf.
Crappy decor with a horrid mishmash of Home Depot patterns and textures. Rude counter staff who make no effort to let you know what’s in the steam table. I had the sausage and peppers sandwich and it was a bunch of sausage (which by itself was flavorful) topped with onions and maybe something that was once a pepper before they stewed it into smithereens.
But the killer was the stale two-day old bread. How can you be an Italian deli and the hero bread is hard on the ends??
Also a strange obsession with cash—all prices are listed separately for credit payments. Is it so hard to just set your prices to make a profit, assuming that X percent of your customers may by card? Do I have to get sucked into your accounting system when I pay? Just give me one price; what are you, a gas station?

Read moreThese guys gotta work on their online ordering. It’s a great deli, but I recommend not ordering online, as every time I order online the sandwich literally comes with just meat and bread - despite the photos having lettuce, tomato, oil, etc. even when I’ve paid for extra toppings like Pickles they don’t include them.
Also sometimes when you order online the order doesn’t go through. Which ends up being a blessing because then they get your order correct, but it’s annoying I gotta check my credit card statement for multiple charges.
$13.50 for a small hero with just meat? “Safety my heart”, I’ll go somewhere else!
At the very minimum, Please add options online for adding lettuce, tomatoes, oil/vinegar!!!
4.7/5 stars if they were to fix their...
Read moreTERRIBLE. I live 3 blocks south and never went there before, after 33 years I decided to get two hero's to take home. #1 a meatball hero #2 a chicken parmigiana hero.
Both were barely warm... the TWO meatball's were barely warm and had hardly and sauce at all, and the chicken parmigiana hero VERY mushy. The hero "bread"??.... was nothing like a crisp Italian hero instead it was like the bread was put into a steamer: soft and mushy like a wet sponge. And the prices... $23.00 for both! Will never set foot in...
