ILA Penthouse & Rooftop Garden — Attraction in New York

I have to say i’m slightly disappointed in this place. When my fiancé found this place online and reached out to them he spoke to Cal- which he was extremely nice and welcoming and very accommodating for pricing and time needed. I was getting proposed to so it was a surprise and he decided to go with them for the view and for the experience Cal explained we were going to have. He then later came into contact with Sophia and Francesca, who at first he said were very nice on the phone. He was told the hours were very And he was given a QR code for the entrance to the penthouse from 6 PM to 9 PM. Our decorator got there at 6 PM to set up and wait for us and the rest of our guest to follow. At 6:30 Francesca went up to the decorator and told her she was not allowed to set up until 6:45- while going back and forward about the time. All of our guests were told to arrive at 6:45 as we were expected to get there at 7:15 for myself to get surprised to going with the idea that we had the place from 6-9pm. When we got there, Francesca came up to the rooftop MID proposal photos and asked to talk to my fiance to ask everyone to LEAVE at 8:15PM. One of the ladies then proceeded to go down to the 7th floor and tell all guests “time to leave, times up. everyone has to go now”. While all of our guests took an hour and a half to get there I expected them to have a good time but all I heard was “everyone was so rude” And to pull my fiancé away from his pictures after just proposing just to tell him “times up or it’s going to be $1,000” is absolutely insane to me. Very deceiving by tone of voice on the phone with the ladies. So...

We had our wedding here and the coordination, the venue, the set up absolutely exceeded our expectations. We had never planned a wedding before but Francesca helped us work through every detail. We changed the plan many times which we felt bad about but they remained patient and graceful with us! We were coming from out of state and couldn’t make the trip to try the food before the wedding but it was to die for, the juiciest chicken and tender salmon I’d ever had in my life. We also had a special chickpea veggie option suggested and prepared by the venue. The venue was largely decorated with flowers and trees and great ambiance lighting and the rooftop had spectacular views of Hudson Yards and World One Trade Center. For dessert Francesca helped us coordinate with a vendor in Italy that was able to import our selected desserts and make a grand entrance with them. The venue was clean and had lots of elegant and fun character, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was so wonderfully organized from afar, I had 0 worries the day of the wedding and my husband and I truly enjoyed the whole experience. 10/10 I would get married here again and again and would recommend others consider marrying here too. I used ILA for my wedding reception and it was wonderful! Cal & Francesca were a delight to work with, and it was almost a one-stop shop for everything reception: Amazing florals (this place is normally a flower school), top-notch appetizers + main course + desserts, a great bar, professional staff; plates, utensils and table linens were all included.

Will definitely recommend their main space & expansive rooftop to any and all of my friends looking to host large gatherings...
