Sashimi Express II — Restaurant in New York

I love sushi, and if I can find quality sushi for a good price, I'm the happiest girl in the world. the other day, i got takeout at Sashimi Express 2 and... wow i felt like i could just die happy. their fish was great, but the real highlight was their insane prices!!!! for example, they offer ... 3 rolls for $9.95 7 rolls for $21.75 2 pieces nigiri (any type, including SCALLOP) for $3.25 straight up insane!!

my fave was the squid!! so easy to bite through, yet still maintained an initial chew before melting into a sweet creaminess. i could have chewed each piece forever if I weren't dining with someone and in conversation. the scallops were great too - buttery, sweet, soft, and not fishy in the slightest. my favorite rolls were the salmon avo and the spicy roll, which had tuna, salmon, AND yellowtail! finally, my bf loved the salmon, which i found a bit too rich and fatty after the first few pieces, but that's the flavor profile salmon lovers tend to go for, so defo suits them.

all in all, i highly recommend this place!! it's takeaway and cash only, but you can call or text ahead so it's really not that inconvenient! please support local and check out this cute,...

First off, the food is really good for the price. For all the sushi I purchased, it was only $53. That’s a steal. The rice was warm, fish tasted decent, and overall just really yummy sushi takeout. I come very often for sushi takeout.

The reason why I’m only 4 stars is because of the customer service. As a takeout only shop, you’re interacting with the customer for very little time, and a good attitude goes a long way. When I was trying to order, the man behind the counter was on his phone and did not even greet me. I had to get his attention to order my food. After ordering, they told me that my order would take 50 minutes because they ran out of salmon... for a takeout only place, that’s a really long time for a takeout order. But I understood that they might be busy, so I left and came back after 50 minutes. When I got there, the man looked up from his phone, spoke to the chefs, and turned back to me and said it would be 15-20 more minutes. No “sorry for the wait” or anything, just went back to his phone. I placed my order at 7PM. I finally got my order at 8:05PM, AFTER their shop closed.

Again, really really good deal and delicious food, but the customer service...

If you’re craving sushi and you want a place that’s good but affordable, look no further.

I had a crazy sushi craving for lunch and was looking for someone that wouldn’t end up being 60$ for a small platter of sushi. This was great! For about 20$ per person we got decent quality sushi (tasted fresh and didn’t have that old fish smell at all).

We order the sushi for 1, which comes with 7 nigiri and 1 California roll, as well as a couple more nigiris, a tempura roll and a salmon avocado roll.

Everything was pretty nicely made (the rice wasn’t falling all over the place), maybe the tempura shrimp roll was just a little bit wonky and very thinly sliced - also only 5 pieces, but still delicious!

They also have specials available - but I’m not sure if they’re only in store since I couldn’t see them on the delivery menu 🤷🏻‍♀️

They also have appetizers and special rolls, as well as party platters. I will probably try one of those for my next get together!

Again, cheap sushi but fresh and pretty good....
