I made an appointment for a trim. I told the receptionist to make the appointment with someone who is good with trims. I looked at the salon's work on IG and was confident that they would be able to trim my hair with no problem. When the person actually styling my hair asked what service I would be getting, I said a trim. She said Ok, you're here for a cut. I corrected her and said no, a trim. When I sat in her chair to discuss the process, I told her I was growing my hair out and I was not a fan of layers. I liked the current shape of my hair, so there was no need to change it except for just needed a little more off of the back.
I was very clear which is why I am baffled as to why the stylist cut 2.5 inches off of my hair all over and I left with more layers than I came in with. A trim is a quarter to half an inch at most. On top of that , she changed the shape to something I hate. Everyone isn't in to big, loud hair. There is nothing worse than a stylist that basically says F what you want, they're going to give you the style they want, even if they know you won't like it or doesn't know how to do something, but takes your money anyway. A bad cut is the ultimate salon no, no. Only a lot of time can correct it. She definitely is not up on the latest styles and techniques and definitely needs to apprentice Julie Dastine or someone like that. I would have been better of waiting for an appointment with JHB_Studios or trimming my hair myself. There's a reason why every Youtube naturalista with hair that looks a damn trims...

You pay for what you get. Just the mere thought of paying more that $30 for a wash, set, and blow and going every week was expensive for me. HOWEVER, the $$$ I paid for the relaxer, treatment, cut, and products was WORTH every cent. I could not remember the a time I've visited a hair salon and was extremely happy with the results. I even took a pic, 1st time ever while at the salon. I felt beautiful. And I do INTEND to and WILL be there every 2 weeks to maintain what I have begun. That is, A journey to having a HEALTHY head of hair with my new hair Doctor(s). Thank you Ladies, and especially Ms. Natasha...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this salon. Over the 4 years that I've been a client on and off, the service and level of excellence is consistent. The only reason why I'm not there more frequently is because of the drive from Jersey to Brooklyn. Natasha and her team do a wonderful job making every woman feel important and cared for. My recent personal experience has been with their new hair loss treatment system. Natasha has helped me to overcome 5 bald spots due to Alopecia Areata. Not only does she treat my hair in the salon, she gives me the knowledge and tools I need to continue treatment in between services. And even at my worst point of hair loss, whenever I left there, I felt like a million bucks. It's true we are much more than our hair, but when you pair inner beauty with a slayed hair do - all things...
