A new rooftop bar has opened in the heart of Williamsburg and we are loving it! Frose’s & a good view go hand in hand, & that’s exactly what we got here, along with some bomb Philly cheesecake empanadas 😋 With board games scattered throughout, @slaterooftop for sure needs to be added to your summer bucket list. NYC ROOFTOP BARS PART 10: GAME & CHILL 🏙️🍸❣️TAG someone you want to finish rooftop season off with! . 🔌THE PLUG: Take in the last few weeks of rooftop season at Slate's new Brooklyn rooftop, giving off all the right summer vibes! . Indulge in some mouthwatering bites like their Elote Flatbread and Korean Crispy Cauliflower with a kick, and fun drinks like the jalapeño-based Fire in the Sky and the perfect for summer, peachy Queen's Gambit. . And while you may be taken in by the floral decor or quite large unicorns that greet you (definitely snap a photo with them 😎), there are plenty of other opportunities for fun. PROS: There's 2 floors. Downstairs has a whole bunch of games (pool, giant connect 4, arcade games) along with a few lounge areas, a bar & enough space for a dancefloor. Free coat check. The music downstairs was so much fun! Wasn't a fan of the DJ upstairs, it was mostly house music and beats, but it's because of the DJ that was playing that night. This place is super fun & has a space for any vibe you're looking for. Whether it's chill, games or dance!

CONS: Drinks are a bit pricey. The line outside to get in & then the line to wait for coat check. If you get there before 10, you won't wait in line long but any time after is at least 25 min wait. THE PROCESS TO GET YOUR COAT BACK IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Everyone had to put in their phone number on a tablet which would send you a text with a digital ticket number. However, not everyone would get a text and the attendants didn't confirm to see if you received one. At the end of the night, we waited in line for 30 mins to get our jackets back. 2/4 of us had a text, if you didn't get one they would find your jacket with the last 4 digits of your phone number. HOWEVER, one of the tablets wasn't working no matter how many times you put in your phone number! They had NO solution to fix this!! I took it upon myself to grab another tablet, the attendant said no and I was like absolutely not, I'm putting my number in this because they apparently were unable to do their job and the other tablet wasn't working. That was the only way I was able to get the correct ticket number. Luckily when you put in your phone number at the beginning of the night, it also takes a picture of you so you know it's your jacket. People were on top of each other, swarming the desk, the attendants didn't know what to do if your phone number wasn't working. Security kept yelling at everyone to form a line but no one was listening. The entire experience was a disaster and sobered me up so fast.

I love this place, I've been here a few times but every time there's an issue with coat check. If you could not bring a coat, I would highly suggest it to save you the awful experience. We weren't locals so we needed jackets. I would def return, just...

My friends and I went for NYE with high hopes. Let me start by saying the staff were super friendly, the open bar was actually serving good quality drinks, and the music was great!! However, our night wasn't as amazing as we were hoping. My friends and I paid about $250/each for Ultra VIP + an additional $180 for bottle service. The problem was our table/couch was directly off the dance floor on the first level with NOTHING separating us from the general crowd (not even a rope). The cocktail waitress informed me we were allowed to leave our table, but there was no one to watch it and guarantee that other people wouldn't take our drinks. Willing to risk it and naively trusting people would leave our stuff alone we all went to dance. Upon returning to our table shortly after we found people helping themselves to our bottles (even though they could get free drinks at the bar?!). We tried taking turns so someone was always at the table to "guard" our stuff but that got annoying pretty quickly as we all wanted to have a good time. I eventually resorted to carrying the bottle of Titos with me everywhere (which was actually kinda funny). As the night progressed people were helping themselves to our mixers, popped our bottle of champagne (well before midnight), leaving empty cups on our table (even though there were trash cans everywhere), and sitting on our couch. Every time someone would return to the table the randos would play dumb and scurry away. While slate can't control the actions of a**holes, it didn't help that our table was directly off the dance floor with zero separation from anything. For the amount of money we spent, we would have at least liked the freedom to leave our table and come back to it the way it was when we left. Also, more of an annoyance than anything was they didn't deliver on all the "games" they advertised would be there (not sure if that's because of COVID though). The pool tables were closed off, the Jenga/connect 4 were locked away, the arcade games were $2/play, and there was no karaoke that I could see. All in all, I would say the night was fun, but definitely under-delivered on what we...

About a year ago in March of 2023, I go in there to celebrate my Birthday Party with 3 of my other friends, and it didn't go as expected once we got there. It was crazy in there, I mean we all go in, and we all had to pay 20 dollars each just to get inside the establishment. Little did I KNOW, I just recently found out a few minutes ago that we had to be there before 10 PM. And before we got in, the line was so long that it reached all the way to 20th and 6th. That's how long it was. So, while we were in there, it was whack. We go in and had a good time, OK, but when I go to ask a request to one of the DJs on the lower level for a Birthday Shout-out, they refused to do it for me. And we barely got any attention from any females because they were probably with some people that they came with. Then, a little while later, it got a little crowded, and then out of nowhere, some girl had pushed me out the way, so I pushed her back lightly. And then, some guy came out of nowhere charging me, and one of my boys spotted him doing it, so he told me to dip as the bouncers held his back. Then, I wait outside around 1 AM for my boys to come out, and then suddenly, the guy and the girl both saw me outside, and I ran off and stumbled onto the cops standing outside, and I got a ticket cuz of them. But thankfully, the case got dismissed! So yeah, as far as Birthday Parties, it is not a good place to celebrate it. Go someplace else where they will actually follow through with your service requests. Oh, and another thing too, I also emailed them about my Birthday Party celebration for Slate weeks earlier, and they never got back to me not a single time. Though I will say this, that it's a good spot to go to don't get me wrong, cuz they play some good music, they got games that you can play, but other than that, it's not good for when you want some attention from the ladies and for Birthday...
