Let me preface this by saying I'm not going to go lower than two stars, though that is what this review deserves. This is simply based on the kindness and gregarious nature of staff to each other, and not so much to the patrons. This store is near my subway stop, so one would think that it would be a no-brainer to stop here on my way to/from work. However, every single time I order here, without fail, I have to wait ages for my order to be ready. I've had a Frappuccino completely defrost before my other order items are ready. I've had them space out on the food portion of my order multiple times. Mind you, my orders are not complex. My kid's Frappuccino is the most complicated part of my order, and quite often, I'm not even ordering that. My food order is nearly always simple egg bites with a very rare occasional breakfast croissant for my kid. No fuss, no muss. Put them in the oven. Wait for the beep. And then the bites might be a lot more well done than they are elsewhere. The store can be completely empty. It's cute to watch staff get along and joke around, but it's not okay to have not a single order waiting for anyone on the shelves or counter and still be joking around and definitely not making my order happen at all while I'm standing and waiting. This has happened on several occasions, and it is frustrating. I work 6-7 days a week, so weekends are not necessarily chill and relaxing. New York is a rat race, and you've got to keep up! Take some lessons from Manhattan stores, perhaps? Because I choose to go to the store near my office and brave the sardine-can subway without my morning dose of caffeine rather than stop here first and definitely miss my trains and potentially be late to work no matter how much...

I had worst experience at this Starbucks store. I live nearby so I order coffee with my phone every morning. Mobile order is designed to make people’s life easier, but in most cases staffs there either forget my order or place Tall with Grande. Nowadays I try to place the order 10 minutes ahead while app tells me the prep time is 3-8 minutes. Unfortunately this morning staffs over there forgot my order again. This is not what a work person expects. I understand the store was newly opened and staffs might be taking their time to get used to the workloads. But my point is that Starbucks is a chain based company and standards should be same everywhere. Last but not the least, if DD were not inconvenient from my home, I would definitely do my coffee shopping there. Maybe the service sucks sometimes as well but at least the price is half and they provide more attractive...

A customer ahead of me was purchasing a cup and straw. There was an issue with the advertisement for the items and the customer believed the straw was free but the employees were advised to sell both. The cashier was short and unhelpful towards the customer and it left a bad taste in my mouth. The cashier kept saying the item was falsely advertised as if the customer should be penalized for that. Not sayin there was anything the cashier could have done, but her attitude could have been better. The customer left without making a purchase and the employees preceded to talk about her in front of other customers. Rude.

Other than that I usually like coming to...

The barista here was beyond rude. Maybe she was having a bad day but I ordered online and my cold brew was not filled up as much as it could be so I asked for it to be filled a bit more. I’ve asked barista’s in the past to fill it up a little more and no one has been rude or given me an issue. This barista huffed, put basically only foam and then slammed my drink down on the counter. This Starbucks was not crowded or anything since it was 6pm. I’ve been going to Starbucks for years and never had a bad interaction with a barista. Really bad experience and will avoid this location. Plenty of others I can go to.

A publicly available restroom was once available for starbucks customers. I appreciated it as a mom who have to juggle and occasionally use the restroom! Not too long ago, they sealed it off and replaced it with an “employees only” keylocked door. It’s definitely not something I expected Starbucks the brand do as a company who once prided themselves in serving their customers and culture. Quite a negative statement for regular customers.

A savvy crew, who understand the local community milieu, and know how to keep it respectful to a diverse crush of passers through, when there can be some in-house signal congestion, with laptops & pads all in direct competition with smartphones. It's welcoming behavior reflects the timeless values & the millenial aspirations for the perfection of community, break times, and way station networking in the South Slope.
