Station Bar — Restaurant in New York

Old time neighborhood dive bar. Good variety of songs on the jukebox. Drinks are a good price and the bathroom is clean. It has a pool table but no one is playing yet. What more can you ask of a dive bar? For me, the only negative is that you can't run a tab. For me it's easier to get a tab after I finish drinking that way I see what I owe altogether and give the tip accordingly. Calculating what you owe and the tip after each round is a Pain in the You Know What. Also it was daytime and not busy so how hard could it be to write down the drinks one is having. Ah here this is a feckin hidden gem.Off the 7 train on 61st Street Woodside & down the stairs across the road look out for the Irish,American & County Offaly flags. It's a great bar & once ya meet Paddy "Da Biffo" who's the owner you'll settle in grand.Paddy's on point with the banter & will keep yer drink filled no bother at all. Not many Irish Bars like this GEM. Stop by for a few or 12 beers & enjoy da craic. Not many Irish Bars that have regular patrons that will chat away with you & have a laugh. ...

Go-to neighborhood spot that stays until relatively late. 6 stars for service and specifically Paolo- always polite, smiling and great service -2 stars for the bouncers: poor attitude, rude with the illusion that they have authority. It would be great if they can get real; ID reading barely makes them different that the rest of us - haha 5 stars for the beer: great draft and bottled variety 5 stars for the music!
