Waited about 15 min for a table on a Sunday evening. Ordered the “lite” course, additional 2 nigiri pairs (bay scallops and unagi) and 2 more 8 piece rolls (bay scallops and crab). The food was decent but the rice was slightly too warm and separated for sushi. The seafood was fresh. The key was that the meal came in somewhat of a omakase style but without the entertainment of watching your chef prepare your food. Essentially you had to wait around 10 min between courses (meaning around 2 pieces of sushi) which was slightly infuriating. At the end, we requested for a faster service and this was done promptly - though I’m not sure whether to be happy they accommodated the request or confused that they could’ve served the food faster but didn’t. In any case, we are still thankful for the accommodation. However, i would note that the service was really slow even for just getting a server’s attention. I kept my hand raised for 10 - 15 min with no response and the restaurant was not big (around 30 seats). Overall, go there if you want a lot of time to talk to your dinner companion(s), but not if you want a solid and normal speed meal.

No reservations, you need to go and put your name down. We were lucky and we found 2 seats at the bar immediately. The bar seats are a bit chaotic with everything happening around but still a good experience. The personnel is extremely nice and helpful. They have different menu options, I recommend the full menu (I believe the name is don’t trust me). The food is very good: the combination of the rice with thigh quality fish is amazing. The hand rolls are delicious: the lobster one especially! They give you time in between dishes that is also very much appreciated. They ended the service with a eel nigiri that I was not impressed with: a bit too sweet (maybe as some sort of dessert?). The rest of the dinner was extremely good and tasty.

The quality of fish here is incredible and once you realize how well-priced it is, it's difficult to stay away. Most of us ordered THE NOZAWA TRUST ME but some, who weren't as hungry, ordered the TRUST ME instead. Both were absolutely incredible and each bite was so different but full of flavor. Note: I am celiac (gluten allergy) and they were very accommodating to ensure they removed any soy sauce or ponzu from my dish. However, they do not have gluten free soy sauce (not really sure why not as it's an easy win with customers) so I HIGHLY recommend bringing your own sauce. Obviously, it's not recommended and probably frowned upon but just keep it on the low and enjoy your meal ◡̈

Came around 8pm monday night, given a 30min wait time, seated in 20ish (definitely depends on how slow/amount people want to eat)

Good variety of fishes as well as fish eggs, lobster, eel. Unfortunately they ran out of the eel and a few pieces of the bluefin that I wanted. Waiter was helpful in recommending replacement fishes

Ordered about 12 different pieces ranging from 9 - 24$, quality was good, sizes/portions could be larger. With the dish size plates couldve been brought out with 5 or so different sashimi/hand rolls on the plates

The pieces of bluefin I got were light but a good amount of fattyness to them (4 or so variations of bluefin, light to fatty) would honestly order more of bluefin if I was looking to reorder something Pink lobster can be skipped, is more of a filler piece Anago, no salty taste, eel had a nice texture Salmon eggs, wrapped with seaweed around, sounds weird but the eggs didnt pop nor were they as refreshing/savory as I usually think roe is. Still tasted good

Overall a good experience but leaves you wanting more food at the end, wait staff was friendly and attentive (quick to update on wait time as well as letting us know when they were...

I recently had dinner at Sugarfish with my girlfriend. The food was fantastic , no complaints there. However the experience was completely overshadowed by a serious billing issue. At the end of the meal, the server mistakenly closed me out under a different table , one with a bill of over $440, when my actual bill was only $107. The manager did approach us to explain the mistake and assured me that my card would be recharged correctly and that the $440 charge would be reversed "in a few days." It's now been a few days, and the larger charge is still pending on my account. This isn’t just a minor inconvenience, it's taken over $500 out of my account , during an already tough month financially. I chose to do something special for my girlfriend, but instead I’m dealing with unnecessary stress over a major billing error that should never have happened in the first place. I understand mistakes happen, but for a restaurant of this caliber, I expected much better accountability and urgency in correcting something this serious. Until this is resolved, I can’t recommend Sugarfish, no matter how good...
