I found GingerChi's Heaven & Earth Gua Sha facial through a Google search for "best facials in NYC" and it absolutely did not disappoint! Anna welcomed me into the space with such warmth and kindness. We immediately connected over great conversations. She explained the procedure every step of the way and my face was truly transformed afterwards. We didn't think of doing before/after photos, but an hour and a half with Anna definitely made a huge difference to my face. I felt like a work of art! Or a sculpture even. :)

The products used during the facial smelled great and worked wonders--to the point where my skin does not work with other products since (especially those that have harsh or toxic ingredients.) I'm also more aware of how my skin reacts to different products now. I bought a beautiful jade gua sha right after, as well as the oil cleanser. I received a gift bag with samples of all the products used during the procedure and have been using them to the last drop. I am also shopping GingerChi goodies now for my friends outside of NYC because I can not stop raving about this place!

I'm due for my second 1.5 hour facial this week and I really can't wait! The energy in the space and Anna's care for what she does is healing and unique. It has changed the way I take care of my face and myself in general. I've only had two other facial treatments in my lifetime and hope to treat myself more often with GingerChi....

I’m a repeat customer and always look forward to my visits. Anna’s Heaven & Earth Gua Sha treatment was lovely. She welcomed me with tea, explained the origins of gua sha and her tools. While the treatment focused on the face, neck, shoulders, and arms, I felt my whole body improve, including release of a long-held muscle knot in my upper back. This facial far exceeded my expectations. Unlike other places that use harsh ingredients, then greasy lotion, Anna left my face feeling clean, fresh and healthy.

I saw Dr. Mary for medical acupuncture to help with my frozen shoulders. I had no prior experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine and am impressed by its effectiveness. I had started physical therapy but still experienced sharp pains with simple movements. After one treatment, the sharp pains stopped, allowing me to continue rehab and increase mobility more effectively. Again, I was brought to a state of overall wellness from a focused treatment.

She loved the gift (especially the softness of the organic muslin face cloth and the jade roller). Let me start by saying that my girlfriend isn't the kind of woman who cares much about skin treatments, or beauty products. I wouldn't say she's a tomboy, but she definitely leans more towards that side of the spectrum. So I wasn't expecting such a positive reaction to the Ginger Chi face set, and frankly, I don't think she expected to like it as much either. She was thankful because it was an unexpected little gift, for no special occasion, but a little skeptical about the whole thing. PROS: Now she can't stop using the roller, the face cloth (apparently it gets even softer the more you wash it), and it has reduced the number of single-use makeup removal wipes at home.CONS: While it's supposed to be a DIY roller, she has discovered the pleasures of someone else rolling it on her...
