T-swirl Crepe — Restaurant in New York

We got 4 crepes delivered from T-Swirl crepes:

T-Swirl Crepe is a solid 3.5 stars. They get an extra half star just for being gluten free and making their crepes with rice flour. After you eat them, you don’t end up feeling negatively stuffed.

Short beef rib crepe - this is tasty although the short beef rib taste like it’s made weekly, not daily. The way it shreds you can tell it’s a little older and you can tell the meat is there, but it’s just not very distinct. Also, bc its an uber eats delivery order, there was nowhere for t-swirl to add instructions so I tried calling but it was just voicemail. We wrote in notes to make it grilled or sautéed onions instead of raw, but that wasn’t followed and there were a lot of raw onions in this and the salmon crepe.

Salmon crepe - This one taste better than the short beef one, but had almost no cream cheese. They were generous again with those raw red onions though. :-/

Lychee Creme brûlée crepe - This one is a solid 5 stars - if you love lychees and love creme brûlée, you’ll be a fan of this. It kinda saved the entire meal. The creme brûlée crepe can also be made with mango, strawberry, or any fruit you choose.

Mille crepe - I don’t recommend this one at all. I was excited to try it as I have seen these Mille crepes before. It’s thin layers of crepe that’s prepared like a cake with cream in between each layer that holds it together, almost like a cheese cake or type of sponge cake in terms of consistency. The first bite we each had was the last bite we wanted to take. It taste like a freezer burnt cake. You could tell how old it was from the crepe that didn’t have creme on it bc it was so unusually dry. It also didn’t have any distinct flavor. This is most likely from a third party that delivers these to T-Swirl to sell from a fridge…a fridge it’s been sitting too long in.

Overall, there were some hit and misses. If we went in and could custom the crepes, it would have been better. Otherwise, I would stick with the sweet crepes for delivery.

Also, if you decide to try them out via delivery, I will note that their packaging is the best I’ve seen for crepes in a while with holders...

🍵Matcha Chocolate Truffles 🍵 This crepe has sliced strawberries, matcha cream, whipped yogurt, crushed Pistachio and most importantly, chocolate truffles! 😉The truffles added an intense spark to the overall flavour, full of chocolate flavour! 😚The fruits really balances out the creamy taste from the truffle, it’s like chocolate with fruits! So yummy! I don’t taste a heavy matcha flavour though but if you are a fan of chocolate and fruit and some matcha, this is definitely your pick! ✌🏻They also have a mini size for this crepe so this is perfect as a snack too!🥰

The crepes at this restaurant are to die for! My date and I shared the Nutella and strawberry crepe and it was so good. The service was great and the ambiance was perfect for a date night.

Vegetarian Options with fresh fruit like strawberries. Sweet additions like Nutella make this a great dessert spot!

The crepe is soft and thin, and the filling is sweet and rich. I shove the whole thing in my mouth and devour it hungrily. Its too big. I overfill my mouth as my date looks on in horror.

I order another crepe. Pay with credit card.

"What is that 13 today??? I want a divorce!!"

I cannot stop. I WILL NOT STOP. These crepes are so good, they ruined my marriage.
