Ted's Corner Tavern — Restaurant in New York

I ordered for pickup. I will say that when I arrived the bartenders were very nice and accommodating. One went out of her way to hunt down some utensils for me, which I was pretty surprised they didn’t have. But that definitely gets a couple stars. Ambiance seemed pretty nice but I didn’t eat there.

The food however…omg that was bad. I cannot figure out how this place has so many amazing reviews. We ordered the arugula and quinoa salad, which was completely bland and lifeless. I also got the wagyu burger with gruyere and fries. I have had chuck burgers that were better than this. I’m not expecting A5 or anything but this was just inedible. It was chewy and I ate less than half of it before giving it up as a bad job. The fries tasted old, like they were stale, but we ate all of them just because we were starving. I am extremely disappointed.

I paid $66 bucks for this meal and a cocktail. I would have paid $20 and that’s just because the cocktail was pretty good. So again, kudos to the bartenders. Definitely do not recommend for anything other...

Had a movie night-out with my wifey, chose this place to have some drinks and snacks. Picked it because it wasn’t very busy and looked relaxing inside. This establishment didn’t disappoint us. We loved the decor and chill ambient atmosphere, dim lighting is my main factor in choosing places for a relaxed going out and about night. We had a few beers, I had a Azul mezcal on a rocks, we got some fries with feta, lamb pita wrap and Mediterranean sausage with Halloumi cheese. All was good, lamb was a bit too oily and fries with feta wasn’t as good as some Greek restaurants do it, but it was good enough to make us satisfied. It was only one person, bartender, on the floor working customers at the tables and a bar, but this guy was very attentive and quick on service, there weren’t that many people at that time, but still I give him credit for doing his job on the money. I have been dying to come to this place for the longest time! I finally made it this evening. I must say the vibes are here. Drinks are great, food is great, crowd is great. The area is great. Everything is PRETTY great. Inside is almost picturesque, I love that. So many delicious menu choices! I honestly don’t know what has taken me so long to get myself here! Perfect for a group catch up or a cute date, or even just some drinks alone or with someone else. I LOVE it. Even more importantly, I asked them to make me a penicillin (which in this city is a very rare finding) especially if it is actually made the right way …. and they made it quite perfectly, not even exaggerating. So if you’re looking for a great time and great penicillin, you can take yourself right over here. You’re welcome...
