Tex’s Chicken & Burgers — Restaurant in New York

I have usually had pleasant enough experiences patronizing this establishment, but today was definitely the exception. I stopped by on my way home at around 11:00pm this evening. While walking in, a young lady from behind the counter was coming out. Normally, people allow the person in the doorway entering to enter first--right of way. She was polite enough to hold the door, leaving both she, my friend and I all bottlenecked in the double doors. Not a problem. I assumed she was probably in a rush to go home for the evening. So it's no issue to politely allow the right of way to her so that she can exit and go home (as I assume she will be).

I then get to the counter and I ordered a burger for my daughter. While speaking to the young man, the same young lady returns through the very same double doors and comes into the kitchen behind the counter and starts preparing food. She does not wash her hands!!!! When my friend points this out to the young man that took my order and credit card (cashier), she comes from behind the counter with her unwashed hands to discuss the matter rather than to follow proper sanitary guidelines--washing her hands.

The cashier handles money, credit and debit cards, answers the phone, etc. without gloves or handwashing also. He then handles the food he bags after it is handled by the staff behind the counter (even the young lady who had to be respectfully requested repeatedly to wash her hands).

Forewarned---YOU DESERVE CLEAN, SANITARY EATING CONDITIONS!!! Besides a quality product, no one has a right to deny a paying consumer basic sanitation in any establishment.

I was in Dec 3rd Sunday @ 9pm hasssan the cashier overcharged me at least $5 on an order that I always get which is the number 11 3 piece tender. Wouldn't let me substitute my side of fries for something else (which I'm usually allowed do to) the order normally is less than 13-14 dollars but he charged me 18 dollars saying that that's the way it's always rung-up and that it's the charge. This man gave me an extremely hard time as we talked in circles and he still ended up charging me separately for all the sides I requested on top of the combo and for a bottle of water (that should've been included) separately as well. This guy is not professional or knowledgeable about the restaurants POS system nor is he willing to empathize with the customer when they're actually right. Tex’s Chicken & Burgers Review

I stopped by Tex’s Chicken & Burgers recently, and I have to say, I was impressed! The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and had just the right amount of seasoning. The burger was equally delicious—perfectly grilled with fresh toppings and a soft bun that held everything together.

What really made my visit stand out was the service. Nalini, the cashier, was friendly, patient, and made sure my order was correct. She greeted me with a warm smile and even gave great recommendations. It’s always nice when employees go the extra mile to make customers feel welcome.

Overall, Tex’s Chicken & Burgers delivers on both taste and service. I’ll definitely be coming...
