DO NOT patronize “Luckybird Bakery” of Montrose Avenue, Brooklyn, New York. They were suppose to deliver a wedding cake to my daughter Kristine’s Wedding on June 19th at 1 pm. They failed to keep their promise to do so. This was after many weeks and days of constant contact back and forth, confirming specific details, to make sure the cake would be perfect. When the cake did not arrive to the venue, Bryant Park Grill, at the pre-arranged time of 1 pm, the venue attempted to contact and call Luckybird Bakery many times without success of even getting a voicemail. I received an email at 8:44 pm (the 1st email telling me that there would be no cake delivery ) on the actual night of the wedding, as I was at the reception, telling me they were sorry but they had “ mixed up the date” in error and were asking me if they could deliver the cake the next day for an after celebration!!! Were they kidding me !?!?! So the custom made cake topper of “Mr & Mrs “ along with the engraved wedding cake knife and cake server at this point were useless. Thanks to the failure of Luckybird Bakery of Brooklyn, NY, not to follow through with adequate customer service we had no wedding cake at my daughter’s wedding. DO NOT give Luckybird Bakery of Brooklyn, NY -...
Read moreWe were left without a cake at my daughter’s 3rd birthday party — one of the most important details of the day! It was truly a nightmare. I had prepared everything carefully, and instead of celebrating, I spent the first two hours of the party on the phone trying to fix their mistake.
They sent a dark brown cake I never asked for — all the photos I shared clearly showed white cakes, and I even provided pictures of my daughter’s pink-and-white outfit and accessories. I was never told that choosing chocolate flavor meant the cake would be brown. When I expressed my disappointment, they took the cake back and refunded me — but offered no real solution.
Later, they offered to resend the cake only if I paid again, including double the delivery fee — even though I had already paid for delivery. No apology, no real attempt to make things right.
The cakes may look nice on Instagram, but the customer service and attitude were extremely disappointing. In the end, we bought a basic cake from the grocery store — at the end of the party.
Our conversation is here to prove everything. I never ordered a brown cake — you can see it all in...
Read moreIt has been four weeks since our wedding and my mom is STILL talking about the cake. She stole three extra slices from the venue and had cake for breakfast three days in a row. I think she’ll be talking about this cake for the rest of my life. She might drive me crazy but…she’s right. The cake Luckybird made for our wedding was the best cake I’ve ever had. That’s not an exaggeration. It really was next level. We ordered a fully frosted chocolate cake with seasonal berries and crème fraiche, and it was simply divine. Sweet but not too sweet, decadent but still light, and totally addicting. I cannot tell you how many people have reached out to me specifically to compliment the cake!
Besides her incredible skills as a baker, Amy is also a lovely person to work with. Throughout the entire process, she was friendly, communicative, and kind. She was quick to answer my questions and super professional. If we ever throw another special event and need a cake, I will 100% reach out to Luckybird! In fact, I’m really trying to find a reason to order a second wedding cake, just for myself THANK...
