We’ve got a new menu and NEW Mac & Cheese at The Malt House! 🧀🚨 Our mac & cheese is made with ditalini pasta in a garlicky sauce featuring cheddar, monterey jack, cream, and melty chihuahua cheese. Topped with crispy garlic chips + house breadcrumbs for the perfect crunch. 🙌 This one is unforgettable and perfect for these upcoming cozy fall months… Only at The Malt House, Greenwich Village #macandcheese #themalthousegreenwichvillage #themalthouse #nyc #newyorkcity #bestmacandcheese #bar #resturant #chefspecial #foodnyc #foodie #fall #cocktails #happyhournyc #happyhour #beer #greenwichvillage

We came here for a chill spot to sit outside with after walking around all day -> and Tim and team were awesome! We ended up staying for the $6 happy hour (4-6pm, Sun-Fri) -> wings, burger, mahi mahi tacos, nachos, and drinks. I don’t know why this place isn’t constantly packed because everything was great! I had Moscow mules, hubby had beers. The buffalo wings (nice and spicy), burger (great beef) and nachos (huge plate) were perfectly done and came out quickly. Plus - the people who walk by this place are all characters. They’ve got fans to blow on you outside too! It’s also got a great vibe inside and they play a mix of music that keeps you singing along. This is a neighborhood gem and it’s worth stopping in for (happy hour or not) 🙌🏻🙏🏼 Extra points for eco friendly straws 💫

Came here with a group of 9 on Sunday for brunch. We had made reservations so as soon as we arrived, we were immediately seated. The place looks great. Decent amount of seating at the bar and lots of tables. In the other room, there is a sofa type seating which is probably quite comfortable. There was also a coat rack by the restrooms.

I had the stuffed french toast. Surprisingly, this item is not on their online menus. The dish came with bacon and was stuffed with cream cheese. I wasn't exactly overwhelmed by the dish but the stuffed cream cheese didn't go well with the bacon and syrup. A mixture of sweet, salty, and sour. At the time I was deciding between dishes, I was also considering the chicken waffle club but there were mixed reviews about it so I decided against it. In terms of quantity, the waffle club is definitely worth it. I don't think my portion size was comparable. If anything, my dish was cheaper to make but yet I got less product.

As for drinks, I had a mimosa and it was fine. Nothing special about it. Not a strong alcoholic content.

The service was okay. After taking our orders and dropping off the food, they never came back to ask how were doing or to ask for refills. We had to flag them down for refills.

Overall, probably a great place to drink at. Fairly spacious. In terms of "real" food, I would...

NOT A PLACE TO CELEBRATE YOUR BIRTHDAY

Had my joined birthday celebration with my friend, made the reservation for 20 people weeks ago. When we got to the venue with our guests, the manager, Tim, informed us about the NOWHERE MENTIONED TIME LIMIT for a reservation. During the in-person booking or on the website, this wasn’t and isn’t mentioned.

Not wanting to stress about things, we consented to leaving but asked to kindly govt us a little bit of time to light the cake.

The whole time our group celebrated, ordering drinks and food, Tim was hovering over us, apparently counting our drinks (as from previous comment), to see if we were a table worth keeping in his opinion.

At the end as my friends were trying to surprise me with the cake, he told us we had to leave immediately.

When approached, he was angry, defensive and rude. Now he’s defending himself in these google comments, not the best image for...

I made a reservation for boozy brunch at this restaurant for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From the moment I emailed about a potential reservation for a party of 30+ people they were immediately responsive to all my questions/messages and very helpful. They printed a customized menu I had made, let me decorate the side room for our party, let me bring in an outside cake but still provided dessert plates and utensils and even played a specific song for our party at the end. The food was amazing and the drinks flowed easily. The only issue was for a party of 35 they only had one server and so I felt bad because she was crazy busy. However she also did an absolutely incredible job alone so much so that I almost didn't even notice she was alone. I would book a party again here. They have a side room that is fairly private and can comfortably fit up to 37...
