Located on a triangular asphalt lot at the corner of Hart and Myrtle, 'Til Death takes its seemingly precarious location and uses it as a setting to create the remarkable. 'Til Death is a true champion of adaptive reuse. The coffee shop is operated out of a once-abandoned and dilapidated Swinger camping RV; nonetheless, the espresso it churns out is nothing short of excellent. As I sit here sipping my cortado, the contrast of smooth jazz and aggressive vehicular traffic noises is oddly too fitting for such a casual yet chaotic afternoon experience. Perhaps the traffic rids this experience of any pretension which would most definitely be felt in any other setting with a "cortado and smooth jazz," but the other patron's and their amicable demeanors create a sense of place that's uniquely inviting and just simply relaxing. But as a caffeinated romantic trying to pass his time writing this review, maybe the only real logical reasoning behind my feeling comfortable with the madness of all this contrast is Til Death's owners' dedication to their other, non-caffeine-oriented love: motorcycles. Directly adjacent to the RV is a shipping container which operates as a community tune-up center for all two-wheeled enthusiasts in the area and from faraway lands. If you happen to be in the area, or hope to find a place which has successfully synthesized madness into the beautifully unexpected, surely make your way to 'Til Death, because, as the name suggests, you'll want to be there for as long as...
