Waffles and Dinges was our favorite food experience in NYC. I was so hesitant to try anything I watched on a food vlog or read about on Pintrest bc everything had been overpriced and horrible. I thought either people are paid or they do not know good food. Waffles and Dinges is one food truck/store worthy of it's hype. The manager Spencer at the Harold Square location by Macy's was so friendly and took time to answer all our questions so bc of his customer service, I nervously placed my order. I was not disappointed. Spencer shared with us the bourbon syrup that they just launched and I will be ordering it on line asap. There are 3 different flavors that are all out of this world good. We are foodies in my family and hard to please, but that syrup is the best I have ever tasted. People are getting a lot of syrup for Christmas in their food baskets. Ok I think I need to stop talking about The syrup but it was food orgasmic good. Yeah that good. The whole experience was awesome. I would get a plan waffle 1st and then get one with all the good stuff to share. Coffee was great but the homemade hot cocoa...well it's a must try. My hard to please daughter was in love. Spencer and the staff working was so kind and nice. We had dealt with so many other rude staff if was just a delightful change to finally receive good service. Now we just need Waffle n Dinges in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC, great uptown areas to be in you guys ..hint hint 😉😘 Looking forward to seeing that Syrup in grocery stores...

I’ve been stopping here and enjoying their waffles with speculoos (cookie butter) for years! I had the pleasure of working just down the block front them and they make for a great little treat. They’ve brought the speculoos or cookie butter over to us from Europe long before Trader Joe’s and other markets carried it locally.

** New addition to my review after receiving a shipment of theirs. The presentation is lovely, the items were packaged and handled with care. I highly recommend ordering from them, they do a great job with packaging your items well. The waffles (or wafles as they list) are delicious, the Belgian pearl sugar they use really caramelizes beautifully when you heat the waffles, the aroma wafts through your whole home and the scent is intoxicating. The spekuloos is my favorite but they also have the delicious dulce de leche and milk chocolate spread, keep your own whipped cream handy if you’re so obliged, not that these need any more...

The worst customer service of all time. Ordered a simple lemonade and they offered me “regular vs. large” to which I asked for regular. They tried to charge me for the higher priced size, saying I got a regular and it was actually small or regular. Then found a bug in the drink once they handed it to me. It’s okay, it happens. I told them there was a bug and the woman had the audacity to tell us “it’s part of the mixture” to which we replied “we can see the body and legs of the bug”. She backed down and demanded what we wanted, a refund or a new one. I got a new one but I should have just gotten a refund in hindsight. The lady and the man were horribly rude and angry looking the entire time, no apology issued either for the bug. I don’t get it? Why would you work a customer service job if you hate customers and don’t know how to provide the bare...

I found this place on a whim making my way through Herald Sq for the first time. Sorry to the dude making the waffels, I didn't realise the correct ordering process so I stood there like a confused meerkat until i was pointed in the right direction 😅 The food itself is delicious, the service was kind and polite, I note the reviews of people judging the prices - you do realise, as an adult, you have the choice whether you purchase something or not? If you feel it's too expensive, don't buy it? Why purchase something knowing you don't agree with the price point then complain about it 🤔 The prices are fine, honestly. You get what you pay for, good food, delicious hot coffee and supporting those who are working hard to make a living, now that's a vibe 🙏 Thank you! Delish
