Target, a major retail chain, has established itself as a formidable competitor in the industry, known for its unique blend of style, affordability, and diverse product offerings. One of Target’s standout features is its commitment to providing trendy and well-designed merchandise. This focus on design not only attracts fashion-forward consumers but also elevates Target’s overall shopping experience.
Affordability is a key pillar of Target’s appeal. The company strategically balances quality and cost, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious shoppers. Read moreHonestly not a lot of people know this is a TARGET EXPRESS and it has gotten a lot of bad reviews due to the fact that it is small, has limited items, and the lines are long. Let me break it down for you.
We are in manhattan, in a prime area for every New Yorker and tourist and have you seen how small the building is from outside? It WILL be crowded it WILL be long lines and it WILL have limited stock. Why? Because it is EXPRESS only a few everyday items.
But the staff accommodates it by trying to get the lines moving as quickly as they can. They stock the shelves AS customers are shopping. And when you can’t find an item they go to the back and look for it.
People complain about the line out the door. If your on the line it’s literally a less than 5min wait to get from the front door to the actual checkout. If you thought a Tiny store with a few registers were going to be “fast” then you should go to your nearest bodega and not there.
Also people have complained about the registers only being on the first floor. If you go down stairs there is no place for these registers. Would you rather have an even more LIMITED stock of item just to TRY and get out the store faster ? No.
And the codes for the bathroom that everyone complained about. Would you rather the bathroom be free to every homeless person to go and take showers in the sink? Or would you go for a cleaner than the average McDonald’s bathroom ?
All I’m saying is this target is not bad and doesn’t deserve all the negative reviews it has gotten. The staff is friendly and we have a good selection of things to choose from. But one thing the staff will not take your attitude. They pride themselves on having a smile and be friendly but when you come off as a mean grinch you’ll get your smiles (maybe) but you definitely won’t get the 5 star service you could have gotten. Other than that this store is not the fast paced people would want but it is convenient and cheap.
Please don’t leave your items randomly around the store. Those sock do not belong next to the Oreos. If you don’t want it give it to them at the checkout, they literally have people who will put it away, don’t make the job harder just because you were too lazy to walk back to...
Read moreMy trip to Target was very disappointing for a couple of reasons. REASON #1: FOUL MOUTHED EMPLOYEES. This is a nice store that is esthetically appealing (everything is organized and clean, lots of staff on the floor). I've always been a bit biased when it comes to Target because as a teen during the 80's, in Minneapolis it was my second job. However in 2022 staffing leaves something to be desired. Everyone was helpful but the language being used in the conversations these young people were having with one another was appalling. Wearing a Target smock and name badge makes them a clear representation of the Target brand. They were unprofessional and didn't appear to care that they could be heard. REASON #2 After GOOGLING "Knee Pads near me (I plugged in the zip code of where I would be attending my fitness class) and Target popped up, I called the store to verify they had foam or gel knee pads. I was told they carried them and were in stock. Within an hour I arrived and a staff member on the floor directed me. He pointed to a tiny section with an end cap where he says: "IF we have them they would be there, however I don't think we do because I haven't seen any in while". Of course he was right. There were none to be found. At checkout with the things I purchased, I asked the cashier if there was another Target in close proximity and he advised the 42nd street store. He pulled out one of the store's devices and looked to see if they carried them. He said they did and I immediately took that long hike (it was 90 degrees). When I arrived I was again directed to a tiny section of the store with practically empty shelves and of course no sign of knee pads. of any kind. Now I'm not beyond taking responsibility for not asking the cashier to call and make sure they had them in stock but I trusted that if he saw them on his device that meant they were indeed in stock. So again I left empty handed and unnecessarily exhausted and frustrated when all any of the clerks had to do was offer to make a brief phone call to check the availability before sending me on a wild goose chase. I guess I expected more from the brand that I have come to love shopping at over the decades....
