Title: A Brewing Disaster
I recently visited Yafa and was sorely disappointed. The coffee was absolutely dreadful—overly bitter and lukewarm, as if it had been brewed days ago. I couldn’t even finish my cup!
As for the food, it was a whole other level of terrible. I ordered a pastry that was stale and tasteless, like it had been sitting out for ages. My friend’s sandwich looked more appealing, but one bite revealed it was dry and flavorless.
To top it all off, the staff was incredibly rude. They seemed annoyed when I asked for a recommendation and acted like I was bothering them when I placed my order. The lack of basic courtesy was shocking.
Overall, I left feeling more frustrated than caffeinated. Save your time and money—there are plenty of better...
Read moreProbably one of the very few coffee shops serving up strong, affordable ($5 lattes!!) blended beans originating from places like Yemen, Colombia, Costa Rica and Ethiopia.
They’re pretty fast, efficient + the baristas are kind! They also offer some food items—but not as robust as their OG location (think pastries). Happy to see Yafa expanding and in my neighborhood!
Update: Yafa has been experiencing an increase of negative reviews from folks that have not patronized this shop for ‘political’ reasons. Don’t let these false reviews deter you...

Making it an easy place to pop in for a quick pickup of some of the best coffee you've ever had. Or the tables outside give you a chance to sit and relax on a quiet street. It's still worth the trek down to Sunset Park for their full food service menu. (Which is FANTASTIC) But this is a great way to get their amazing coffee without having to travel out...
