We had a 10am appt. The family in line before us was turned away because they did not make a passport appointment. The family before us told the teller that another teller on a weekday informed them that walk in passport appointments were from 9am to 10am on Saturdays. The teller told them walk in passport appointments were not on Saturdays, but were 9am to 10am on weekdays. The mom ended up saying they would make an appointment. She probably said that because the tellers were giving them the run around on passport appointments to avoid doing work.
There was a lady behind us who had a package. A different teller told the lady behind us to skip me and my family member in line. The teller helped the lady behind us before we were helped even though we were in line before the lady behind us.
Then the teller called us up to the window, and asked what we were here for. I told her for a passport appointment. She asked if we had an appt. I told her yes, we have a 10am appt. We showed up at 950am, so we were early. This time the teller's excuse was not that we needed to make an appointment (which was the excuse she gave to the family before us), but rather that the person who is supposed to process passport applications called out sick. I asked why didn't the office call us or email us to let us know that we shouldn't show up. The teller said that the office called everyone and left voicemails. My family member and I did not receive a phone call or email or voicemail of cancellation. The teller said we could stop by Monday's to Friday's 9am to 10am for passport walkins. Yet the teller did not inform us that this coming Monday is a federal holiday so USPS will be closed. The teller constantly rolled her eyes at me and my family member.
Why aren't the other USPS employees trained on how to process passport applications? Why is only 1 person at this office trained on how to process passport applications?
Giving a 1 star for customer service, for not informing us of the cancellation and the inconvenience of having to travel to and from a the USPS office. If I could give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI walked into this post office today feeling completely overwhelmed. I had a handful of papers, photos, a check, and honestly no clue how to navigate the passport renewal process or get it expedited. The line was long, and I was prepared for a frustrating experience.
Instead, I met Dion, who was absolutely incredible. She was patient, kind, and walked me through every single step of the process with a smile. What I thought would be a confusing, time-consuming ordeal turned into a quick and painless experience thanks to her expertise and genuine care for helping customers.
Dion took the time to organize all my documents, explained each part of the process clearly, and made sure everything was done correctly. Her professionalism and warmth made all the difference in what could have been a stressful situation.
This post office is lucky to have someone like Dion on their team. She deserves recognition for going above and beyond to help customers. If you need passport services, I highly recommend this location - and if you're fortunate enough to work with Dion, you're in excellent hands.
We need more postal workers like her! Thank you, Dion, for making my day so much easier. ALSO GIVE THIS...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate going to this branch. It's slow, inefficient and most of the people don't care. There is one woman who I have had the pleasure of working with who is AMAZING - but at this point I'm sure she has moved on to better things. I have a package that has not been delivered from Amazon. The only reason I know they have attempted delivery is because Amazon has sent me emails. The USPS delivery person has not left a missed delivery notice. I have been home for the past 3 night when the mail was delivered and no one rang my bell or tried to contact me about a package that needed to be delivered. I spoke with the USPS customer service and they agreed with my confusion as to why it's not being left since they mailman has a key to our apartment building in order to deliver the mail. It also doesn't need a signature so there is no reason not to leave it. USPS customer service says I need to call the local branch to sort this out. The problem is that someone needs to answer the phone in order to sort...
