New Tasty Too — Restaurant in Newark

I am giving two stars because the food is actually good. I order from this establish at least once a week. The young lady on the phone is always courteous and my food is always delivered in a timely manner. Last night, however, was a totally different story and they have now lost a loyal customer. I placed an order for delivery. An hour later I called to check on the food (because 40 minutes is literally the longest time I have ever waited. They are always super quick) and was informed that they thought the order was for pickup. I did not immediately get upset because mistakes happen and the young lady ensured me that FRESH FOOD would be made and delivered. Less than 10 minutes later, not nearly enough time for my food to be re-cooked.) the food was delivered. I was so disappointed to find that the food had been microwaved. Some things you can get away with throwing in the microwave, but you can tell when broccoli and a shrimp roll is fresh vs it being heated up. When I called, the young lady immediately grabbed a manager who asked me to describe the food not being fresh. I was so insulted. Not only are they well aware what the meaning of fresh food is, he can clearly look at the timestamps on my calls and tell they simply dropped the ball and needed to pick it back up. Instead he treated me as if I was trying to get free food or trying to con him. For what reason would I lie? I love this place. Never had any complaints. I still would not have one now if the issue was settled in a customer friendly manner. Instead the manager suggested that I get up to bring the food back and pick up a new order. Or that he would have the existing delivery picked up THEN deliver fresh food. Again, making me feel like he wanted to "proof". For this reason alone, I will not be ordering from here for...

I just called for their all day special and asked they include Tatar sauce. I was put on hold for 5 mins so worker could ask the chef if tartar sauce is included in my order. My ordered included fried scallops. I hung up because the fact they have to debate on a sauce which should come standard. Call me back to tell me the order doesn’t include sauce and would be an extra charge! No way in hell I’m paying for tartar sauce which should come standard since my food includes scallops!
