What a great place! Not only do they have a W-I-D-E selection of novelty, "off-the-wall" sodas, they also have a wonderful selection of retro sodas from yesteryear! You know, the ones you see the tintype signs for at your local Cracker Barrell...?!? Moxie, Nichol Kola, Nesbitt's, Brownie, etc. But what really impressed me was that they had Pop Shoppe sodas! I hadn't seen the Pop Shoppe brand since I was a kid growing up in the Midwest! That was a nice trip down memory lane! And if that weren't enough, they also have a sensational array of candies! Some well known brands, as well as vintage varieties and foreign imports are all over the store. And I have to think that they have the largest selection of taffy flavors in a hundred miles radius! LOL Top all of this off with the novelty toys, retro tintype signs of all kinds, vintage concert poster reproductions, comic books, fancy displays... This place is definitely a treat for the eyes as well as the tongue! If you're feeling lucky, maybe treat yourself to one of their hand picked mystery grab bags! Each one has a small custom artwork done by some of the staff on the front! It's a great way to explore some of the things that you might not have chosen for yourself, but are pleasantly surprised to discover. The staff are friendly and smiling, and very knowledgeable about the stock they sell, even able to make suggestions and recommendations based on what's already in your basket. (Oh, you know you'll need one, and they're right by the front door next to the four pack bottle carriers.) LPT: You get a discount when you buy two four packs, and you can mix-and-match them however you like! We went there for a friend's birthday for an after dinner treat, and he was gifted two of the novelty Fluids Sodas: the 10-30 cola and the Green Cooler. (He's a mechanic, and he thought these would look great sitting on his tool chest at work!) Even if you're not big on sodas or candy (you poor thing!), there's still plenty to gaze upon all over the store. Some of the displays are even themed for different countries, and are colorful as well as educational. TL;DR: If you go to Rocket Fizz and don't enjoy yourself for the duration of your visit, you need to make an appointment with your doctor, as there might be something wrong with you. Seriously, go. Take the kids. You may find the kid inside of you having just...
Read moreMy man really wanted to check out this candy store! Why I wondered then asked! Because they import Avery’s soda out of New Britain CT! If you have ever been to Avery’s and had the pleasure to handpick out the most unique flavors of soda that also has a one of kind of name for each soda then you must absolutely have to check out a candy store that offers Avery’s beverages! So so glad because Rocket Fizz has the most amazing on going selection of sweets! As I walked my 3 lap around the store I thought to myself wow I really can respect and give it up to the guys that have really thought all these selections out! I was a kid in the candy store with my kid and my sugar! We had a great experience and pleased with our selection and variety of goodies and little gifts we purchased! Employees were great! Just one tiny thing…. Y’all should really think about a candy bag! I walked out with over 60$ In chocolate bars little candy toy combos that are a little bulky and plastic and glass sodas! Yes we did have the soda divider y’all offer when you first walk in which was very handy! Still would be nice to have a stronger bag that don’t flex when carry such a load. I asked my sugar to go back in for another bag so I could double bag our purchase. Might be extra cute if y’all even add a stamp on the bag for y’all’s customer memories! Thank you for sourcing all the...
Read moreGirlfriend and I came and bought around 30 dollars worth of products, we wanted to split the payment up onto two different cards, they cashier ended up charging the entire amount on the second card as well as the first half on the first card. At first we were told there was nothing to do and come back later. We came back 4 days later drove over 30 minutes to get our money back and after 2 phone calls the cashier told us we were out of luck and that we could not get out money back nor store credit as the ticket had been closed. She offered us a free soda for our trouble, which was appreciated but it is not our money that was stolen by the owners and management. Hope the nice cashier we talked to finds a better job with better people one day....
