1/19/20. We just stayed one night but we’re bummed because we were in Newnan a couple weeks ago for a few nights and we stayed at two other hotels in the area and they weren’t anywhere as nice as this Best Western, hence the two diff hotels. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Our room was clean and we love that there was not carpet, it had laminate wood floors. And a bonus that there was a small area rug next to the bed that our dog like to lay on. The bed and soft pillows were very comfortable. It had a larger refrigerator and microwave. Nice new chairs that I was not afraid to sit on (we have been in places where they were dirty and stained and I didn’t even want to sit on them). But these looked new. The bath towels were nice and soft, The shower had great water pressure and a clean shower curtain. It’s a a full bathroom but there is an additional coffee/sink area in the room. Kind of like a wet bar if you need to prepare food. We headed to the lobby/breakfast area and there we we’re pleasantly welcomed by Don and Melissa And the front desk lady but I did not catch her name. They all said good morning had smiles on their faces and just made us feel welcomed. Don explained that there was fresh eggs, sausage and potatoes (tater tots YUM) along with fresh hot coffee. A huge bonus was that they had real plates, bowls, cups and silverware!! Another bonus was that they had flavored coffee creamer hazelnut and vanilla!! The Folgers coffee was good it was not water down like some of the other places we have stayed at. The entire breakfast area was very clean and everything was stocked. Another bonus, Pet friendly hotel that doesn’t charge an arm & a leg! $20 pet fee and they have a fenced in grassy dog area with poop bags. They are remodeling and it’s nice to see any owner take pride in there business. The little added touches go a long way. Great WiFi strength and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping that are in walking distance. We would definitely...
Read moreA more accurate rating would be 2.5 stars. Rounding up to 3, rather than down, because the room was clean, well laid out and had both microwave & fridge. They also allow a pet (for an extra fee) and walking him there was pleasant & easy due to a little tree buffer in back. Now, the problems: The front desk lady asked me to pay almost $50 over the quoted rate. She was actually apologizing for it as she stated the amount, saying she was so sorry the taxes really drive up the rate, then she asked me if that price was ok with me. ? Seemed weird. The price had been the same for 2 years, I had just spoken with someone on the phone 5 minutes prior who confirmed the rate, plus I've never been asked, upon checking into any hotel, ever, if the rate was ok with me. I politely stated the rate I'd just been quoted. She said it was those darn taxes. I told her I'd been paying a flat rate with taxes already included for over 2 years & asked if there had been a policy change. It wasn't until I said I would call back the person I'd just spoken to when she totally changed her tune & quickly changed the rate back to quoted price. She gave some weird excuse about pricing being based on ability to pay!?!? Adding to the weirdness, loud techno punk music blaring and a man sweeping the attached dining room kept hovering real close to watch & listen. So creepy! Then when I finally made it to the room she checked me into, it had not yet been cleaned. Ceaning ladies nearby were so kind & professional, offering to clean it quickly. Refreshing after the highly unprofessional experience trying to check in. Over all, a perfectly ok room but I won't go back despite the lady on duty at checkout (Cathy)...
Read moreDecent stay overall. Stayed here the end of December for 3 nights. Great location. This area is full of restaurant options and shopping stores like Old navy, Walmart, target, tj maxx. Easy to access the hotel. It's an outdoor type hotel so no elevator access that I noticed. Easy check in process. The hotel lobby was clean and nicely decorated. The room was clean. My only complaint was the bed. It was on springs and squeaked WITH EVERYMOVE - it was soooo annoying. I had a king sized bed room - it had a chair and ottoman, desk and chair, small flat screen tv, mini fridge and microwave, armoire, outside of the bathroom area with sink and full sized mirror and enclosed bathroom with sink and stand up shower. The shower was set up weird to me. It had a sliding glass entry but you the opening was furthest away from the shower head so when you turned it on you had to reach in awkwardly to turn it on. The shower didn't have a place to set your stuff up. It did have the wall mounted shower pump for body wash and etc. The room had plug in chargers but doesn't support USB port charging only (just FYI)
Breakfast is provided. Typical items - waffle maker, hot bar - eggs, potatoes and sausage. Some yogurt, cereal, instant oatmeal. Coffee station. Tv screen and some seating available.
There's an outdoor pool but it was closed for the winter.
There was a room with washing machine and dryer and a dispenser for laundry products and an ice dispenser machine.
The walls are thin. I was able to clearly hear other people conversations with very little effort.
Overall - decent stay. Good location. Clean establishment. Just need a little...
