Bon Mi Street — Restaurant in Newport

Went here on a weekday and there was a sign posted saying they’d be back in 15 mins. 45 minutes later I was still waiting. I had to film content for an ad, otherwise I would have left. Received the drink and it was extremely bitter (ordered their tea) and honestly the worst boba and tea I’ve ever had - I’m a huge boba fan and have had it in many cities. This is NOT it. Didn’t expect much from NKY but this was disgusting and I threw the entire drink in the trash after I filmed my content. I also called to place an order for food a few months prior and they were OUT OF BREAD. Finally, came here on Saturday night and they were busy out of their mind but only had one poor teenage kid working with crowds of people out the door. Very happy with my lunch. I ordered the tofu and mushroom one, not because I'm vegetarian, just thought it looked the best. For some reason with places like Primanti Bros and banh mis i like sardines and other meats seem lack luster and ok at best. I asked them to go ahead and add the pate. Very enjoyable sandwich. I also tried a boba tea against my wife's opinion that they weren't very good. But she's a burst boba fan and I like the original tapioca pearl boba. there was only 1 person taking orders and making drinks. he was rude and unprofessional and hid in the back almost the whole time. he was making dirty faces and took 42 minutes to get 2 simple drinks when there was only 1 family in front of us who only ordered 3 drinks!? 38 min INTO waiting my mother had to go tell him she didn’t get her drink and he said “what drink”?? how unprofessional... it’s not even busy AT ALL!! 20 min into waiting another guy appeared from the back?? he started making the drinks the other guy didn’t! then disappeared. its literally a small shipment container theres not much to do...
