Chomp Kitchen and Drinks — Restaurant in Newport

First time trying this restaurant. I’m really not a burger person but do like a good burger when I have a craving which is about once or twice a year. Visited the Newport location since I live here and sat at the bar. Ordered drinks and the classic smash burger. Wasn’t aware that it’s usually served medium - well done but did ask for medium rare. (That’s how they make smashed burgers from what I was told). Anyways, the burger came medium rare, which I was happy. It was flavorful & juicy, served with cheese, pickles and aioli sauce. Definitely enjoyed it and it was accompanied with hand cut fries which were delicious. My only disappointment was the bar staff. Though they did ask how everything was, they never asked to see if we wanted our drink’s refreshed and we had to ask for our checks twice. Anyways, I would return. We had an excellent meal here! The burgers are delicious! I got the Crispy Fritter Salmon Burger, which was divine! I would eat five of those Cilantro Corn fritters lol! The side of Brussel Sprouts were some of the best I’ve ever had!

Had the house burger, brisket burger and patty melt burger. All were fantastic. I particularly liked the side salad and whatever dressing they used. The kids meals are great as well. Both kids got grilled cheese and 1 with a smash burger on it. Daughter loved it.

Our server was amazing. She was very attentive, gave great recommendations and was very patient with our kids who had a lot of questions and energy 😀.
