McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in North Carolina

This used to be our favorite place for soup, sandwich, and salad combo but the customer service has went down hill. The last 3 times we have ordered from here has been a nightmare. We order online, then pick up in the store. The first time, when my husband arrived to pick up the order he waited 20 additional mins only for them to tell him they forgot to place it out to pick up, the second time the order was wrong and last night when he arrive to pick our order up, no one was at the front and he had to yell for the “Kids” in the back to get help. No to mention once he arrive home which our sandwiches it was just mustard and melted cheese.. lol the meat and bacon was missing. I wanted to stop giving them business after the first two time but my husband and loves this place and insisted we give one more try..and they failed. I understand there’s a shortage on employees worldwide but there’s also a shortage on decent customer service and efficiency of the workers they have. They don’t seem to care.. he had to yell at them making TikTok’s in the back to get the cups they forgot to place with the order and one comes from the back, gives the cup and walks right back to the group of employees all on their phones. No apologies or anything. When i called to inform them of the order AGAIN they offered to remake or refund but still no care in the world of what happened, just a “well i can refund you or make it over”. Wish I could give 0 stars!!! Me and my husband took our daughter to have dinner. Andrew is who the registers was listed to. We walked in to 3-4 employees being loud in the table behind the register. We place our order and took a seat. When our food came out it was missing items. Then my daughter and husband started to eat and I noticed our bread bowls ALL of the had mold on them!!!! Really with a A rating I would expect better from your kitchen. If you don't pay attention to that kind of detail what else do you slack or not do correctly in the kitchen? On my daughters it looked like they tried to wipe it off!!! Highly disappointed! Went straight to the manager and requested my money to be refunded. Was offered to give us a cookie or cake for the inconvenience. If your serving molded bread to me and my family I'm not giving you a chance to give us anything else!!!

Called in an order for a McAlister Club sandwich today. Wasn't ready when I got there even though they said ten minutes and I actually gave them 15 minutes...still had to wait ten more minutes when I got there (seems like they didn't start making the sandwich until I showed up-guess they don't trust call ins). Atmosphere was okay, no women working at all and the young men at the registers had not been taught to smile at the customers-no friendliness at all-proficient but not friendly. I finally got my sandwich which was supposed to come with a pickle-but was missing the pickle (heard that was the best part) and the sandwich was mediocre-the mayo was a little sweet for me-not a lot of great flavor at all. Next time I will save my money and go to Subway where I can choose what I want and watch them make it with a smile :) Can you say $5 for a footlong....I won't be going back...too many other options in the area that surpass their...
