Just like one of the previous reviews below…DO NOT DOORDASH FROM HERE. I placed a pickup order on the door dash app which typically NEVER gives me any issues from other restaurants and always has my name on the ticket/receipt so that the cashier knows who I am/the customer is.
This time…not the case. I said my name over the speaker when asked, 4 times. The manager said he does not see an order with my name on it at all. I told him that I would drive to the window to show him proof of my order and how doordash sent me a notification stating “time to pickup!”
He said “well, this was ordered from a 3rd party (doordash) and we have no record of it so that’s money out of my pocket.” I told him that I did not mean to cause an issue…was simply just trying to order food. Even though I had already paid on the app, I offered to go get cash to pay him back for it. And he said “what would you like for me to do? Do you want the food or what?” Long story short, it caused a very unnecessary little riff. I apologized for causing an issue by not being in their system, when the app stated that the order was ready. That sucked and was embarrassing. Just was trying to order quick simple order of mozzarella sticks and a strawberry lemonade. He did state that it would just charge him two pennies of his own money, which is so strange. I could’ve paid that actually, but was so embarrassed and upset that I was about to lose money too (due to ordering on the app and them not having any record of it. So I was wondering where my money went.) that I didn’t even think about the fact that I have two Pennies in my car. Anyway, we apologized to one another but this is still such a strange ordeal. All I can say is…..do not doordash your pickup order from here. Just go in person. The app does not work for the store for some reason. Also, it actually DOES send them a receipt….with no name. He did find this and came outside to show me the only record of my order he had on that strange Receipt. The receipt had my order listed but only said “pickup” as the name. But matched the description of the order and said that $0.02 is owed. Which is insane. Maybe the owners should take their restaurant off the door dash list until this...
Read moreI used to work at the sonic in Asheville. One day after a mask mandate had been forced on me against my will, I was asked by my manager to work at this location one day. I willingly complied, and because I can’t wear a mask for medical reasons, I didn’t bring one. When I got there, there was no changer for me to give change to the customers, which was already a big problem because as a carhop, I need to be able to give customers their change. I also tried to take a few orders but couldn’t hear the customers ordering due to the shift leaders yelling at me to put on a mask. Then the manager Iba quickly began to bully me as I was trying to work and find a changer. This location also did not provide any masks. I searched for some, couldn’t find any, yet Iba expected me to wear a mask even though I did not have one and he wasn’t providing them. Double standards. I had already explained my medical condition before after he demanded to know my disability that prevents me from wearing a mask. But Iba doesn’t listen to reason and still expected me to wear a mask at work, and he made that clear in his harassment of me that day. I explained that I had gotten my vaccination, but he didn’t give a darn. The bullying and discrimination against me went too far, and I quit my job that day and walked out less than ten minutes after coming in. Iba, the manager of this sonic location does not care about the well being or health of his employees. He does not know or care that wearing a mask is very dangerous for me and causes hypoxia. He discriminated against those with disabilities and doesn’t care that he is harming people’s health. I called the EEOC to report Iba, but they did not do anything about him and his criminal activity that is discrimination and workplace harassment. I will never come support this sonic by being a customer or by working here ever again as long as bigot Iba is working here. Iba needs...
Read moreI didn't get my food so I can't rate it. I used the mobile app, all I wanted was a treat, a cheap $3 sundae. The app wouldn't let me check in, it said I was almost there as I was sitting in stall #7 so I pushed the red button on the menu board. It said red button activated, we'll be with you soon. So it evidently timed out or was turn off by staff after about 10 minutes so I pushed the button and waited another 8 minutes then left. What was going to be a snack turned into a wasted trip to Sonic, 20 minutes wasted time at Sonic then an empty handed trip home. I supposedly will get my $4.83 back because I spent 20 minutes online reqeusting my money back, we will see in the 10-12 days they tell me it'll take... This place is always busy so I understand wait times, but if you are that busy then you should do a better job of staffing up, if you can't staff the hours you are open then maybe you should reduce your operating hours.. Oh, and I called the # on the receipt, it went to a voicemail box...
