I love Honduran food. I lived in Honduras for 5 years so when I saw this Honduran restaurant I was excited to try there baleadas which is considered Honduras' most ethnic food. Big disappointment. Baleadas are essentially a fresh made thin flour tortilla with red, refried beans, and lots of choices of toppings such as scrambled eggs, chicken, avocado, sour cream, dry cheese, and more. I ordered two baleadas; a classic one with just refried beans and sour cream and a chicken one with avocado. First big disappointment was the beans. In Honduras all baleadas have refried beans made with red beans and these baleadas had Mexican refried beans in them which is not the same. Secondly the flour tortillas where stiff and crunchy instead of soft and chewy. The baleadas here are not at all a good representation of a true Honduran baleada. Read moreWe came in on a Friday night, around 7pm, expecting it to be super busy but no! The pleasantly decorated restaurant was nearly empty, which is surprising with how good the food was. Once you're seated, they immediately put out some chips and salsa. The one on the left was spicy, the one on the right was what you would expect from other Spanish/Mexican/Latino restaurants. Both very pleasant, and both had cilantro. I got the bottom meal, something with steak and plantains (I cannot remember what it was called) and my partner got the top meal that was something with pork. It was all very yummy. I also got a drink called Jamaica which is a fruity hibiscus drink and it is SO good. I got a to go cup to take home with me. All in all, the service was quick and prompt, and our server made sure that we got absolutely everything we needed, along with answering any questions...
Read moreCame here earlier to pick up a doordash. I’m puerto rican but predominately speak english, I walk in and the employee in the front with blond hair and blotchy red lipstick looks at me. Doesn’t greet me or anything. I politely say, “Hi , I’m picking up a doordash” and I couldn’t pronounce the name so I show her my phone. She corrects me and walks to a table. She starts slapping the table and demanding I walk to it. She doesn’t speak she just signals and motions for me to walk over. So I did. She points to the order. I go to grab it and there’s a box underneath I didn’t realize was mine. She starts slapping the table like I’m dumb and I pick it up and tell her I was sorry. As I was walking out I saw how rude they were being. Speaking in spanish, snickering and overall being trashy. The attitudes here are unacceptable. I don’t...
