I have had COVID this week and since my symptoms are starting to subside, I decided to mask up and go pick up some food. I ordered through the app so I would have less exposure to other people. It was promised at 35 minutes after the hour. When it was not ready I simply asked how much longer it would be. A guy named Jason, even though not rude, was somewhat passive aggressive with his reply. He mentioned they had a large order and that they have some steamers that are not working. About 20 minutes later I got my order. I had ordered a Hook and Ladder with no ham. I haven't had ham in 35 years and I only mentioned this so that you know I'm not just being petty. When I get home, and I go to eat my sandwich, it has ham on it. I have to take it back of course and I'm very polite when I walk back in. I nicely asked to speak to Jason, he looks at me and walks away from the counter and back towards the drink area. When I tell him that I have ham on my sub, his reply is, I made it with just turkey. I had to open the sandwich to show him the ham. He told me to throw it away and walked away from me. He did not say one other word to me. I'm guessing he's going to make it because I see him messing with some meat behind the counter again, so I go to the end of the counter and proceed to wait. He wasn't making my sub, he was weighing out portions. I see them send out several sandwiches and decide to ask the gentleman making sandwiches if they are remaking mine. He just says.. ma'am your order just hasn't come up yet.. okay fine at least I know they're making it. I get home and I open it and I'm very surprised at what they sent. This is not their standard and it was intentional. I have only gone in and ordered at the counter and never had this kind of experience. I don't know if Jason is their manager but I've seen another manager in there before and he would have never acted as Jason did. Adding photos of that Hook...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt normally leave reviews but I wish there was a way to leave a negative 100000. I got something that tasted like it had been left in a firetruckās glovebox overnight.
The bread? Soggy on the bottom, weirdly chewy on top ā like it couldnāt decide if it wanted to be stale or steamed. The meat was lukewarm and flavorless, like it had been aggressively whispered at by spices rather than seasoned. And the āmelted cheeseā? More like āmildly inconvenienced cheese.ā
I ordered the Hook & Ladder, and the only emergency was how fast I needed to find a drink to wash it down. The pickles were the highlight, which says a lot ā especially since they came in a tiny sad packet on the side like a consolation prize.
Service was THE WORST and slow. When we brought the issue to the manager he said āI shouldnāt have taken a breakā but didnāt offer to remake or refund the sandwiches that were HORRIBLE and wrong. Iām not sure if they were all high or simply rude. Maybe a little of both. The prices were way too heroic for what felt tasted like a reheated gas station sandwich in a firefighter costume.
Would I go back? Only if Iām trapped in a burning building and Firehouse Subs is the only way out.
Six of us ordered, couldnāt eat most of it and feel sick now. Do yourself a favor and make a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered 2 sandwiches- the featured French Dip and the steak and cheese. I had it delivered from Uber Eats. When the sandwiches arrived i noticed my French Dip au jus was not in the bag. That was annoying since that is a main component of the sandwich! But I had it delivered so there wasn't much I could do at that point. So I opened up my sandwich to give it a try. At this point I want to add- my main reason for ordering from Firehouse as opposed to a certain competitor (rhymes with persey bikes) is because I wanted a toasted sandwich - well neither sub was toasted even though the descriptions on the website clearly states they are both supposed to be made on toasted bread! I was very disappointed at this point but again having had it delivered I didn't have the option of bringing it back to complain. I ended up deconstructing my sandwich and toasted the bread myself which was annoying to say the least. The French Dip sandwich was okay. The steak and cheese only had peppers and onions on one half. This was the first time in a long time that I ordered from Firehouse Subs and it will definitely be my last time. Very...
