Went in on Thursday which is their family day so it was expectantly crowded.
We were told we'd have to wait 30-45 minutes, which turned into over an hour; I forget but it may have been close to one and a half. During our wait, a group came and was almost immediately sat down, essentially cutting past all those waiting. When we eventually were seated it seems they had stopped seating the back section, so I reckon they were short staffed.
Now when we finally got to sit, it took a while for them to come around to take our order even though we were ready as soon as we sat down; when we did order the waiter was nice and friendly. When or did was almost ready the waiter came back to say that they made a mistake and instead of the XL pizza we ordered they had made a large. He only gave us two options to remedy at the time, which were to switch our order to a large or to add an additional small and pay for the XL.
We needed to go to a few places afterwards, so in a rush I couldn't make an informed decision. I chose the additional small to take away as the large wasn't enough for us. Later when I got the time I determined that both options basically benefited the business instead of the wronged party. The large is less value for money and the area of the XL pizza would be roughly equivalent to two large (Math below).
XL = 16/2 * 3.14 = 200.96 L = 12/2 * 3.14 = 113.1 S = 8/2 * 3.14 = 50.27
Expectation: 200.96 Actual: 163.37
So essentially we had bad service and had to take less than what we paid for. I know that this is not the first time they had an similar issue; I was actually a witness on one occasion, although I didn't see the exact outcome. Either way they should have known better how to handle it given their experience. Although I am reluctant I am still willing to change the review if something can be remedied as I know that mistakes happen and I had never had a bad experience...
Read moreSo I got home today from work an wanted a good family sit down restaurant. My roommate is rather picky to what he eats. but I said hey let try this place i remember I use to deliver for them quite a bit back when I was delivering for Uber. Me taking that job was to also look for different places to eat. When I find a good p[ace i always like to give good reviews I have people that follow my judgement on places I had Shrimp Alfredo, the sauce was creamy not to stiff, and these people aim to please I felt like it had more shrimp in it than some other places I have ate at before. I loved the meal I chose. And I am not one of those people that will always take the waitresses idea cause I might not be feeling it. Oh yes an this was my first time eating in this establishment. My partner orders Spahgetti Minara I especially asked for thin or angel hair spahgetti for him and when she said what kind of dressing for our salad he had vinegar and oil I had ranch. He is one of these people is hard to please on food. But this place was over an above a 5 star rating for us. He kept going on an on about he loved the sauce. I believe he wanted some to take home. Oh an the waitress that waited on us she was very nice an very polite her name was Debbie R. She was really well on her taking care of people I wish I had had more change in my pocket she would have gotten all of it. She kept coming back checking on us frequently. Then the price was not to expensive at all. If i could this place would get a 10 star rating on being so superb. Thanks so much for a great evening. We will definantly...
Read moreBleck!! This hidden gem is now very dull. Posted a review on a different site and Frankie's returned back a somewhat unprofessional comment.
My comment on a different review site: "My husband and I kept hearing how awesome this little gem was in North Olmsted. So we figured we would switch up our places for dinning out and we were let down. The food was blah, not super hot, and I had wished that we would have went to Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill for the amount of money we spent on two dinners and soda. Will not be going back."
Frankie's response: "We are sorry to hear about your unusal dining experience last week. Did you speak to one of our managers during your visit? They would have taken care of any issues you might have needed corrected. I guess not. As you stated, this GEM has been in business for 45 years, and Rewards Network customers have given us their HIGHEST SCORES consistently. YOUR LOSS!!!"
To me...it is their loss. Their loss of myself and husband as customers. Their loss of others as customers if they continue to issue poor food for too much money and make snarky unprofessional comments. Its a recession fools, the competition is tight for dining dollars. It isn't my responsibility to tell a manager you f'ed up. It is your responsibility to get it right the first time. Guess you didn't learn that lesson in 45 years
If you want decent Italian food, I would strongly encourage you to drive over to Little Italy on the East Side of town and find of their...
