NEWEST REVIEW: Good evening,
This message is in reference to my last few experiences as several DXL visits in both Buffalo and Cleveland! I am sick of walking in your stores to shop and all I see is XL, 2XL, and a few 3XL. What happened to your store being a space for larger men to shop. When I go and shop I see men like me 5XLT, 6XLT, and 7XLT trying to spend our money. Yet, we have nothing or are told to shop online. We want to try the clothes on then and in store. Not have to shop online, get the clothes, try them on, return them if they don't fit right, and then wait for more online orders. Where is a big and tall man supposed to shop if you have mostly sizes that can be found at any old store. LD REVIEW: Always a great place to go. Staff is always helpful. As soon as I walk in Susan always greets me, takes me to the clothes I like, checks my sizes and we are done. Options are limited in sizes, but to be honest I have been to DXL in NY, OH, and OK and it is all the same. Corporate decides the things that get sent.
I do not know what has happened, but my last 2 experiences have been lackluster. I think they may have brought in new management. I have not seen any if the same workers from past experiences. But, no matter what is happening they are struggling. I went in for some jeans and a belt. I asked to get measured and the one person says I am new and can't help. He leaves and another guy comes like 5 minutes later. He is helpful and we get some stuff together and a room. Things do not fit so I say what I need, but he is not helping someone else. I say I can wait a few minutes and take a seat 15 to 20 mins later he sends the rookie back my way to get some other things. This guy does not understand the difference between relax fit and loose and keeps saying the pants say stretch. The all day stretch. That is part of the jeans on the wall. I finally just stuff, try it on, pay, and walk out. I hope things are different moving forward because I can't shop...
Read moreThe merchandise is great, although pricey. When one pays the price they do for this merchandise, one does expect a nice, clean store. It was filthy yesterday. When we entered the store, there were 2 employees standing around and no customers. Carpets looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a few weeks, dressing rooms even longer. Associate asked if we needed help. We were looking for black jeans and were right at the display. He said "Well you went straight to them." We grabbed the levis and asked about nautica. He said there were none but I found a whole row of them. When my boyfriend asked to try on, the associate said "the first one is empty" and walked off. My boyfriend tried to yell after him as the name "Brandon" was written on the door and there was merchandise in there. The associate either ignored or didn't hear, I don't know, but all the dressing rooms were full of askew merchandise, most with names on the doors but no one in the store. Again, the male and female associates were standing around.
After trying on pants, I noticed there was white dusty stuff all down the sides. You shouldn't let the merchandise touch the floor folks, especially if you plan on buying it. Anyway, clerk made a half hearted attempt to check in with us another time. It was weak, but he wasn't rude or anything. Just uninspired and again, we aren't shopping in Burlington Coat Factory, this is DXL at premium prices. Clean up your filthy store and show some pride! I would have rated this store 4 or 5 based on past experience. I really wanted to give you a 2 today based solely on the shopping experience, but giving you the benefit of the doubt that you will clean the place up! If not, we will shop elsewhere. It was that...
Read moreThere seems to be a bunch of new sales associates at this location and there has been too many bumps along that time. I ordered a pair of pants to be delivered to the store and after getting delivered last week I never received a call they were in. According to online customer service the pants were placed in the back room but not where orders were kept. So a bag sat in the back room and not one person wondered what it was for? No one looked? What? When I went to finally pick up my order (after sitting in the store for 6 days) I asked how the package was missed. Not one of three associates there could answer that and barely got some shrugged shoulders. The one associate who I assume was the manger but he never said he was or even had a name tag on said he did not know how it happened and had no answer when I asked if this was a training issue that the staff needed. Really poor experience. The female staff associate also needs to dress more appropriately. With this visit it was the third time she was wearing an extremely low cut blouse and showing off a bit too much cleavage. Never before had any of the other female associates at this location would wear such revealing attire. Please bring back the old sales staff. They were so...
