I’ve eaten from the original Shah’s several times and this is a watered down version. The food wasn’t warm, especially the rice, and the portions are small. I asked for a little more chicken, you know a normal size portion, and they charged $1 extra for a small “scoop.” He didn’t mention the additional charge until I was paying at the register. The gentleman that was making my plate was scared to fill up the scoop because the manager whispered in his ear. Also, if you ask for sauce on the side instead of on the dish, you will pay extra if you ask for more than 1 white sauce. Lastly, the manager was selectively friendly to a few customers and very short with others including myself. I spent ~$35 in your fast food establishment, but i don’t care if i spent $1, I expect to be treated with the respect I give to others. There’s too much competition around you, teach your staff better customer service. This place is a joke, the pita and lamb are the worst and they think they can serve CT residents poor quality food and we won’t recognize...

Tropicana orange juice had a slogan at one time, "A day without Tropicana is like a day without sunshine" A day without Shah"s Halal Food is like a day without Sunshine. Remarkably awesome food for a variety of reasons. This is a Mideastern Fast Food restaurant that has hit the ball out of the park! We can all agree that fast food today is overpriced, unhealthy and it all tasted the same, like fast food usually does. This is not the case at Shah's. Price is #1. Where can you get a healthy full belly lunch for under $10 today? No where except right here at Shah's. Quality Quality Quality along with Quantity Quantity Quantity!!!!! Why wouldn't anyone want to go there every day for a fantastic lunch filled with fresh falafel, lamb, Chicken, kofta Kebabs, hummus, salad etc. They also serve Halal Burgers and fries, Chicken sandwiches , Baklava and plenty of beverages. A hamburger for $3.99 the size of your head. A breath of fresh air for the town of Norwalk. My #1 goto place for the BEST LUNCH IN TOWN oh yes of course...
