This restaurant came recommended so we thought we would give it a try. Wish we would have gone to first watch. It is very consistent. Has better quality food and less expensive. I ordered the waffle with two over easy eggs and sausage. I wanted to get the real maple syrup but it was such a teeny tiny jar that would barely even cover 1/4 of the waffle and they wanted 2.99for it.At First watch it is $2.79 and is at least two or three times the size of that jar. The waffle was crisp but I missed my real maple syrup. The waffle tasted like those plain waffles you get for breakfast at a hotel. First watch’s waffle had so much taste and they sprinkle it with powdered sugar. As you can see in the photo, my Eggs were not over medium. Way over cooked. They did replace them but they were still over cooked and I only ate a few bites. This meal was $14.99 which seems high for the poor quality food you get. (First Watch trifecta is 12.89)They did give you four pieces of sausage, but it’s tasted like really cheap quality sausage and it was way too salty. It also came with whip cream which was not an extra charge which I will have to give them credit for. also they had plenty of real butter. Now for the atmosphere, when I walked in there it wasn’t very busy and I was kind of surprised because anytime I walk into First Watch it’s always busy. I said to the greeter That we must’ve come at the right time because it wasn’t busy. She said some thing like any time isn’t busy. I was a little worried when I heard that. They set us down and I immediately noticed how dirty the vent in the ceiling was. We will not be back. I am so tired of spending good money at restaurants and getting high priced poor quality food. Save yourself the trouble and head to First Watch. The only saving grace to this place was the server was very nice and I appreciate her telling me the real maple serving size was tiny.

If you're on the hunt for a satisfying and well-executed breakfast in Ocala, Keke's Breakfast Cafe definitely deserves a spot on your list. What stands out at Keke's is their commitment to crafting fresh and flavorful dishes, and in my experience (and seemingly many others!), they particularly shine when it comes to their omelets and Eggs Benedict. The omelets at Keke's are a real treat. They aren't just your standard, run-of-the-mill fillings stuffed into eggs. Instead, they offer a diverse and thoughtful selection of ingredients, resulting in a fluffy and substantial start to the day. The fillings taste fresh and are generously portioned, ensuring you leave feeling truly satisfied. Whether you're craving something classic or a more adventurous combination, their omelet menu has something to tempt your taste buds. However, the Eggs Benedict might just be the star of the show for many. They nail the crucial elements of this breakfast classic. The poached eggs are consistently cooked to that perfect runny yolk, cascading beautifully over the perfectly toasted English muffins. The ham is flavorful, and the hollandaise sauce? Oh, that creamy, tangy hollandaise is simply divine – rich without being too heavy and with just the right amount of lemony zing. It's the kind of Eggs Benedict that leaves you wanting just one more bite. Beyond these highlights, Keke's offers a broad menu with plenty of other tempting options, from fluffy pancakes and waffles to savory crepes and sandwiches. The atmosphere is generally bright and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or brunch. While it can get busy, especially on weekends, the service is usually efficient and friendly. Breakfast with Mimosas are always a plus ➕️ 😋

The restaurant was very clean and had an appealing atmosphere. The only issue with the location was that it was very cold. I typically run hot and like a cold location however it was cold for me, to the point I wish I had a jacket. The food was good nothing I would say would make it a destination location however if you are in the area then it is good. The service was really the only thing lacking. It was not very busy however we waited 5 minutes to get seated which was not too terrible. I get it, that sounds like I'm being picky however it was not busy and employees kept walking by. Drink orders were forgotten, the wrong drink was served and refills never came even though he asked if we wanted a refill and we said yes. With all of this said I would definitely still eat there in the future and by no means do I think it is bad, just not the best experience this time around.

Let's start this off, first off we waited almost 2 hours to get seated understood that we had 11 people. However, the lies we were told did not help the situations. We were told that when we got there the wait was 40-50 minutes not 2 hours, considering the fact they only have one area in the whole restaurant to accommodate a larger party. Also, two weeks before mother’s day my mother called to ask if we could do call ahead and they told her that they could. Then, the night before (yesterday) my wife called and they told her that they do not do reservations (understood) however, told her to call back in the morning and they would try to hold a table. Called this morning being Mother’s Day and the we’re very rude on the phone. I was talking to a regular host then asked to speak to a manager (the manager being Robin) and she was one of the rudest people I have ever talked to on the phone. I started of respectful explaining to her what my mother was told and she said I don’t know who told you that but it is against our policy to hold tables so I asked how long the wait was she said 30-40 minutes so, thinking logically I asked we are on our way so (about 15 minutes out) would it be possible just to put our name in, she then responded that we can’t do call ahead. I then said “well can you tell your staff...” she cut me off and very rudely and sarcastically said yes I will tell them. Me then getting aggravated tried to ask her again about just only putting our name in and she cut me off again and said sarcastically again that it is not possible, I then hung up the phone. So, we arrive at the restaurant and where told the wait was 40-50 minutes we proceed to wait over and hour and a half, after and hour we asked how much longer and were told that “we are not sure, we don’t have an answer” they asked us if we would want to split up our group and we said no, the manager Robin then comes outside about 5 minutes later to ask if we want to spilt up again we once again told her no, and she responded “well you never came back in to let me know that you didn’t want to” when she was told the first time we did not want to split up. So, we waited. Not at all happy with the Manager Robin, or her attitude towards possible customers. Will most likely not return to this location...

Not sure if those giving this place a High rating ate in the same restaurant whe had the misfortune of going to today!!! Had to wait almost 30 min for a table despite there being 12 empty tables. Clearly not enough staff on a Sunday at brunch time to wait on people. That was just the beginning.

Finally get a table...almost 15 min before we get a server. The server was very confused and seemed dazed...almost as if she was stoned! I ordered a portobello eggs Benedict. She said ...can you show me that on The menu so I make sure I get it right? Huh? But I did show her. Bob ordered eggs over easy with a side of sausage links and we ordered a side of silver dollar pancakes to split. 20+min later and we get our food...we have now been here over an hour. They bring me eggs Benedict. No portobello.... This is not what I ordered...I even showed you on menu so you would "get it right"! Oh so sorry...guess I forgot. And where are the pancakes? Oh sorry...takes the eggs Benedict away...brings Bob his side of sausage...only 2 links...not the four as presented on menu. Still no pancakes.

Finally brings me portobello Benedict....where are our pancakes...oH I forgot to get them...be right back. Dig into my eggs and they are not fully poached....egg whites are clear and liquid...RAW!!!!! Call waitress back and ask for mgr....waitress tells me that is how eggs Benedict come....c!early she nor the cook understand the difference between poached eggs and RAW eggs!

Mgr finally comes...still no pancakes...we have now been here almost an hour and a half and I have no breakfast... Bobs over easy eggs were hard cooked...solid yolks. Where are the other two sausages...oh we are running low on them....so you charge us for the full order and bring us half?????

Just bring us the check and keep the eggs Benedict and pancakes. And take them off the bill! We did this dump twice today....first time and last time!!! Management is horrible...staff horrible...I have no idea if the food tastes good...didn't get any. My husbands was pretty bad. You know what they say???? Never get a second chance to make a first impression.... Do yourself a favor and...
