July 2018: We love this place. Great service and great bagels. Wife and kids love the cinnamon sugar bagles with strawberry cream cheese, dad loves the Nova, and I like most of the breakfast sandwiches or a good old plain bagel with cream cheese. July 2019: Still loving this place, we have tried and tried, but just not found any other bagel place we like this much. We visit 2 or 3 times a week whenever we are in town. Some other benefits of this place not mentioned in the earlier review is that it is very close to the oceanside farmers market (every Thursday morning), so it's a great way to start your Thursday. It is also more or less next door to Mary's Family Restaurant, which has excellent breakfast comfort foods at a reasonable price, both places have outdoor seating and seem to be ok with the idea of you bringing food from the other restaurant, so they are a combined great option when the whole group cant agree on one place. Between these two places and Beach Break Cafe (for when we want something a little fancier), we always know we can get a good breakfast...
Read moreA friendly and family owned, simple and unadorned, tiny little shop, with a nice outdoor streetside patio. Don't expect anything fancy until you get to the bagels. When I was there the iced coffee machine was out of order, the kombucha bar was covered up, and the soda dispenser had seen better days. Your drink choices are limited to the convenience store coffee dispensers and the mass manufactured stuff in the fridges. Moving around requires you to cooperate with the other patrons in the limited space. Ignore all that and move right on to the bagels, because these are how bagels are meant to be: soft, warm, delicious, the perfect blend of chewy and crispy. They have all the usual flavors and were delivered quickly and with a smile thanks to the plentiful staff. This is one of those places that will make you want to skip trying the other bagel places: get your latte ahead before you come in and there's no reason to go...
Read moreThis place had good reviews, so my wife and I gave it a try. 110% worth the trip.
The bagels are fresh; nice and soft on the inside and good texture on the outside. The everything bagel my wife got was really good. I got the nacho cheese after seeing reviews, and it was amazing. Tomatoes were fresh tasting, even though they weren't in season. The coffee was good as well. A++ in the food/beverage department.
Service was good. We were greeted at the door, and the counter person was polite and welcoming. The prices were more than fair, IMO.
The building is nothing special. There's a small seating area inside, as well as some tables outside. It's what you'd expect for a small cafe bagel joint. Everything was clean, which is what matters.
Overall great food and service. I'll go...
