UPDATED REVIEW: I've officially been at F45 Oceanside Pier for just over 2 years and for 500 classes, and I can confirm I still absolutely love it. I've now had the opportunity to visit other F45 locations, and while the workouts are great (which make sense since the workouts are the same across all F45s), I have yet to find another F45 location where the coaches are as involved and dedicated to the members' progress as Oceanside Pier. This location's coaches are trained to give progressions, regressions, 1:1 tips, form improvements, etc. They pay attention during all 45 minutes, and they are active coaches during class versus glorified timekeepers.
F45 Oceanside Pier has also created a sense of community. I came to Oceanside with no friends and never anticipated finding any at a gym, but the owners and trainers have created an amazing community. Members are friends and support each other in and out of class. I love the social aspect which includes happy hours, fantasy football leagues, comedy shows, etc.

Read moreI was having trouble staying motivated with my workouts at my old gym. Then I heard about a program called F45 that Mark Warburg promoted and I knew I had to try it! At 63 years old I was a bit nervous working out in a group fitness program with many people half my age, but it was the best fitness decision I ever made. This program changes the workouts daily so you never get into a rut doing the same exercises all the time. All you need to do is follow the prompts and move from station to station and do the timed workouts formatted for that day. The coaches are great and totally supportive, and they will help you improvise exercises when needed if you have any injuries or limitations. The class camaraderie is awesome and there’s plenty of fist bumping and encouragement as everyone works through the cycles. I’ve been a member for 2 years and am now in better shape than I was when I was 30 ! The workouts aren’t easy but if you stick with the program you will be rewarded with better health and you’ll be VERY happy with the changes to your body! I’ve lost 14 lbs and 5% body fat, gained muscle mass, and I no longer take cholesterol statins! Read moreI heard about F45 gyms and love to try a new workout so I was really excited when I heard a location was opening so close to my house in downtown Oceanside. I signed up for a free week promo that they had running and that was it! I was hooked! I tried a few of the different days to get a feel for the types of classes they offer. Some are cardio and some more strength focused. The workout is intense, efficient, and effective! Even after only one week and maybe 3 or 4 classes, I feel so much stronger. I also love that the workout changes daily and before I can even think about being tired, it’s over. It challenges me in ways I would not typically challenge myself and I love a challenge! I love that the coaches like Anthony and Jesse really help to turn your workout up a notch while still making it fun.
