Alfredo's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Oceanside

Used to love this place and considered it a staple when going through Oceanside or going to the beach. However I was very disappointed this most recent visit. It had been a while since I had been there. There was no line and the menu is the same as it has been forever. The difference was how high the prices were and when we got the burritos they were very small. It used to be they were huge and you got your money's worth. This time it was not that way at all. Flavor wise it was a little different this time. We ordered two California burritos and the fish and fries which was over 30.00!!! The fries were greasy and undercooked. The fish was really gross tasting and very very greasy. The oil tasted old and overused. The the nasty old fishy taste greatly affected the flavor as well as the oil.

I'm unsure if the PLANdemic affected it that much where the quality is down...... If that's fixed I would highly recommend 👌 otherwise don't expect a full burrito. Expect more tortilla than ingredients and sub par...

We went to drive thru, order 3 carnitas plate, mix burrito and a pint of rice. What we got is 3 carnitas plate with guacamole in it ( we told the guy repeatedly no guacamole) and instead pint of rice, we got pint of pico de gallo!! And usually the plate is comes with tortilla, this time no tortilla! So I called, to let them no that all the order was wrong. The only answer I got is ok! And what piss me off the most is I can hear them laughing that they don’t care. We been coming here despite the reviews and at first it was ok especially if your just looking to grab something but it’s been getting worse and worse! Don’t like leaving bad reviews but to laugh at me while I am trying to just let them know the order was wrong and not even sorry can we fix it or even just a sorry. I ordered the #20 with 2 chile rellenos with rice and beans. I was so hungry but i threw half of it away. The chile rellenos were gross. It tasted like seeds and cheese. The cheese wasnt even good. The beans 100% came out of a can, and i doubt even a name brand can. They were disgusting. The rice was actually good. That’s probably because its cheaper to use real rice than it is to use minute instant rice or im sure they would have used it. I wasn’t expecting much and I got worse than expected. On a positive note the employees working were friendly and nice especially the guy with the tattoo on his forearm. Not his fault, definitely a management problem. Ill never go back.
