Angelo's Burgers — Restaurant in Oceanside

Been by here many times, when in O'side. Always said we were going there and never did. Well, after eating slop from one fast-food, more slop at a pizza shop and more at a Chinese restaurant, we were burned out. But, we saw Angelo's and decided to pull in and did not expect too much. Well, weren't we surprised!! The staff were friendly and attentive. The place had plenty of seating. I ordered a 1/4 lb. burger combo and my bride ordered the beef taquito platter with a strawberry shake. The portions were more than ample (you get what you pay for here). The food was OUTSTANDING across the board! The first bite of my burger was something I never had happen. The taste popped immediately. I finally figured out that it was their secret sauce. The best I ever had and the French fries were fresh cuts and once again literally THE best (and I have eaten plenty of fries in my 71 years). My better- half informed me that I had to try a bite of her taquito or else (I was wolfing on my burger and didn't want to stop, but took one for the team). Mercy, was that the bomb and their guac dip was above par! We both agreed that the next time we will skip the slop chutes and do the majority of our dining at Angelos. For the love of God don’t stop here I never leave reviews but because the lord Jesus loves you and died for your sins He would want me to tell you this place is the lowest quality food you can imagine. The place was filthy and I mean disgusting, more disgusting the busy bathrooms on ocean front. No words could describe the appearance and grossness of this place like I ordered the food but refused to eat the food out of sheer fear for my biological good. For the sake of you and your love ones avoid this place like it has the plague. The works weren’t wearing gloves, which was bad but to then to proceed to grab the cheese, the lettuce tomato bacon and burger bun with there bare hands was cross contamination to another level. The stains all over the equipment showed it wasn’t cleaned in a long long time. The burnt grill where they cooked God knows what was burnt and ruined so bad it was beyond recognition… it was used to cook some food still but I’m afraid of knowing what was being cooked on it. If you are really hungry, this is the place to go! Not only is this place fast, but they're busy,they serve grand portions, and you get your money's worth. They have a huge menu- which they serve all day long,and they dont just serve burgers. They have sweet and savory breakfasts like omelets and pancakes, to lunch and dinner items. Yes, burgers are in their name ,but they also serve popular mexican and greek fare! They also have some great sides you can share or turn into a meal. My husband loves their burgers and fries combo with the Choco shake and the breakfast egg sandwich, my boys are always down for their popular breakfast burrito and carne asada fries. My favorites are their turkey burger, fish and gyro sandwiches and zucchini fries- easily shared between 3 people and served with real ranch dressing- not the pre-made packaged vinegary stuff other places serve for salads.
