Bob's Burgers — Restaurant in Ogden

Bob's Burgers was decent! I had tried them when they first opened years ago, but I don't remember the experience. My partner and I had Bob's Burgers before seeing a movie at the mall on a Wednesday. There was only one lady there working. She was very kind and friendly, not standoffish at all. She got our order correct, which is kind of a big deal because I'm picky and take a lot of stuff off. I will say my only complaint is that after our payment was collected she went back to make our food and only put a glove on one hand.

I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and added bacon but removed all the veg, except for the mushrooms, and asked for no sauce. They make some sort of house sauce they put on their burgers. The burger was good, and the bacon was awesome! I was a little thrown off that on top of the cheese, they use some sort of seasoning. I personally feel that the burger would have been better without the extra seasoning. Other than that, I did think not was a good burger.

My partner ordered the double burger and had everything on it, except for tomatoes. Her burger had the same odd seasoning on top of the cheese and the house sauce. My partner did not really like the burger. Something about the beef gives it a different, almost softer texture and consistency. I do agree that the beef is softer than what I am used to.

Oh, it was also kind of weird. The lady was the only one there when we ordered. She collected our payment and went right in the back to cook, (again only putting a glove on one hand), but part way through cooking a guy came into the kitchen and was on his phone the whole time. He went and got himself a drink and some fries that the lady was making for our order, and he just sat in the back and started eating and watching his phone. I thought that was just weird, also considering that we hadn't gotten our drink yet. I just thought that he could have helped with something so simple as we...

It was the first time eating here for me. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich combo with fries and a drink. The cashier said it was one of their most popular however I was extremely underwhelmed with meal especially for the price, which after taxes came out to just over $20. I rarely ever get the chance to take myself out so when I finally had the chance, I felt extremely cheated for what the meal cost and the quality of the experience as a whole. The sandwich looked nothing like on the menu and was all bread with no filling and the entire thing was cold. It looked it should have been a fast food kids meal. With what this meal cost I expected much more. I could have just went home and made it myself and enough for my family for what this meal cost and still been better than what they made. I couldn’t even finish the meal as it was 90% stale bread. The server who took my order also looked and acted like she did not want to be there and couldn’t care less about being there. It was just all around a huge disappointment and it was unfortunate that it was my first (and now only) time being there. You could not pay me to return to this...

CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Our receipt amount and our expected charge for our order didn’t match, like a $6 difference. I had to repeat “Just the burger, not the meal please” like twice before he corrected it when ordering, so I just went back up and asked if he could please walk me through what our charges were… $2.99 up charge for large, plus $.50 for fry sauce (FRY SAUCE NOT INCLUDED WITH FRIES!!!), but even after adding the extra charges the amount didn’t add up. Even after I added the amounts and tax and tip. I showed him as I added it up on the calculator, he just gave a guttural noise and pointedly ignored my inquiry and left me standing at the counter. Outside of not being willing to discuss my being charged the wrong amount, and the poor customer service, the food was pretty good for mall fare. The Philly Cheesesteak was well seasoned, good meat/veggie/cheese ratio and a perfectly textured roll. Fries were great! Fry sauce so-so, but could be that I’m pretty unhappy that ONE fry sauce isn’t included (lg fry is $4.99!!!). Burger was tasty, but a little peppery.
