This Zaxby’s is slipping, fast and hard. The customer service here is always infuriating, these young girls running the cash register seem to seriously hate their lives and people in general. Lately, it’s like your customers are more of a burden to your staff. Last time we were there, my Buffalo blue zalad was like a child’s portion side salad, for $12. Today we came in, and the girl who took our order, with dark hair and glasses, didn’t smile a single time, was so monotone and miserable, and royally jacked up our order, I ordered a number 4 (just 5 chicken wings) traditional with hot honey mustard and an extra Zaxs sauce. My husband ordered a wings and things, traditional with hot honey mustard, an extra zax sauce, 2 extra honey mustard and a side of fry seasoning, which we specifically asked for when ordering and were charged for. When our name was called for our order, there was 1 honey mustard on the tray, I opened the boxes at the counter and both boxes were wings and things, (not what I ordered but whatever) neither had even 1 Zax sauce, and no side of fry seasoning. I asked the blonde girl “Do these not come with Zax sauce?” Knowing very well they do, as we’ve dined at Zaxbys all over this country. She said “I guess not, but I’ll get you some” thanks, should have already been there. My husband goes back up to get his fry seasoning and honey mustard and extra hot honey mustard for the wings because they were basically dry. The girl treated him like he was inconveniencing her for asking for what we originally asked for when we ordered, and paid for. We’re in hospitality and customer service, and yes, Zaxby’s may be considered “fast food”, but when you’re charging $30 for 2 meals, and the chicken strips are basically slivers, the fry’s have no seasoning, the wings barely have sauce and are crusty, the order isn’t taken correctly, there’s a major lack in customer service, and you treat your customers like they are a burden, people will stop patronizing your business. I will happily be completing the survey on my receipt, even though I doubt any change will be made from it. As someone who runs a business, and mind you, most of our team are teens/young adults, I highly recommend investing your time into team meetings and coaching customer service skills, this is an area this location seriously...
Read moreI thought I’d left a review for this Zaxby’s before, and it seems like no matter how many chances we give this location, we’re let down every single time, without fail. The menu lists their Zalads at $10.66. They no longer offer the Buffalo blue zalad, which is heartbreaking, so I ordered a house salad and asked for the fried chicken to be tossed in the tongue torch, which apparently up-charges the salad almost a dollar. Whatever about the money, but when I get my order and my chicken is NOT tossed, that I paid additionally for, that seems a bit wrong, right? So I take my salad back up and tell the miserable young lady who seems to hate her life and everything around her, and instead of offering to properly toss the chicken like what I paid for, she hands me two packets of the sauce for me to do it myself. We love Zaxby’s, we’re from the south and we have dined at many Zaxby’s, but this one is always so disappointing and it is very unfortunate. This location would probably be decent if the customer service was a step up from what it currently is, because never have we been treated kindly here, the team taking orders always seems so angry at the world and they don’t care about the people who are currently keeping your business open, for now. Looking at the other reviews, it seems we are not the only ones, in todays world, with the outrageous prices, people are picking and choosing where they dine, and we’re not going to continue coming somewhere where we feel like we’re a burden supporting a business, seems a little...
Read moreFirst off, if you get two sauces for their twenty piece dish, they charge you for two ten piece dishes. So it costs extra, and they don't tell you. I asked how many sauces can I pick for the twenty piece and I was told you can pick two. I was not informed it would cost extra. Ok, one minor strike, no biggie, I can live with being charged for an extra sauce, just tell me next time that I'm getting charged extra and not getting what I asked for. Still, no Stars lost for it.
They lose 4 stars for their wings. They are single handedly the worst wings I've ever had. Now I know why they silently charge more, they cannot stay in business with wings this crappy. I have had better frozen grocery store wings where I warm them up in the oven. Their insane hot sauce had no flavor, and was unpleasant to eat, it was just hot and salty. I have reaper pepper puree sauce that is a lot hotter but worth eating because it has flavor! Their terriyaki was flat and boring. Just sweet and salty. No carrots, only celery. Some of my hot wings were cold on arrival, maybe they thought the sauce was supposed to heat them up? My wife and I didn't finish our wings, we threw them out and came home to eat. I think this is the first time in my life I've thrown wings out.
I do not understand how they stay in business with so many other good wings...
