Wow is all I can say! Just had the worst server I think I have ever had! Took 15 minutes after our drinks came for her to come back for our order (restaurant was almost empty). Then, my son ordered a kids meal (crispers w/salad). My husband ordered the 3 for $10.99 with a side salad and cbr quesadilla. I ordered the 3 for $10.99 Cajun shrimp pasta (+$1) with side Ceasar as the app. The 2 regular side salads came but not the Caesar. She then brought another drink for my husband but no 3rd salad. Tried to get her attention but she put the drink down and walked away without saying a word. Then someone else brought out 2 meals--the quesadilla and an adult crispers, but took it back when we said he ordered a kids. Waited a bit longer and my pasta came put with chicken instead of shrimp and the kids crispers with a handful of fries (he didn't order fries). Still no Ceasar salad. She finally brings that and I tell her I was supposed to have shrimp, not chicken. She says that she will just bring the side of shrimp instead of taking it all back. Great! No problem there. Get the bill and it is more than expected. She charged us for 3, 3 for $10.99's and a $5.59 side of shrimp! We had to go get someone from the front to tell our waitress we needed it fixed. Waitress comes over and argues with us that she charged us for a 10.99 instead of kids meal because a kids ceasar would be $5.69 extra. What?!?! He didn't even order that. I had the ceasar and I asked her when I ordered if the 10.99 could include ceasar and she said yes. So, she stormed away to change it. Came back by us and very rudely said "bill's ready" and kept walking. We were in no way at all rude to this girl. I understand mistakes can happen and as long as you own it and apologize, I have no problem at all. We are always good tippers, typically leaving 25%, but this was the 1st time in my life that I left without tipping. Based on what we saw on the original bill, the kitchen made no mistakes at all. They made what...
Read moreReally not a fan of my waitress this time. Let me start by saying that I am not a frequent diner at this establishment. So, it spelled trouble when I asked "do you guys still do peach tea?" She corrected me with "we have never done peach tea." Oops, guess mango and peach are similar fruits. It wasn't the end-all; but her expression and tone were not of service. Instead, she seemed blown away that I would dare assume Chili's would ever have peach syrup for their tea.
So, I ordered. I asked for lunch fajitas, corn instead of flour tortillas (per menu suggestion) and "I'd like an extra order of tortillas if that's okay." My waitress shook her head and walked behind my wife. She stood staring at me alone, baring her teeth in frustration. She then took a mocking tone and repeated exactly what I said with expressive pauses between each word. "LUNCH. FAJITAS. CORN INSTEAD OF FLOUR... AND?" I nervously laughed and repeated myself.
When my queso came to the table, she half-slapped it onto a part of my hand. I thanked her and she walked away without looking at me. See photo for how busy this place currently is. Spoiler; it's dead.
The fact is that Chili's is incredibly expensive compared to other options. What brings me to a sit-down restaurant is the fact I can be waited on and served. I enjoy a good 25 second conversation with the staff. The waitress I had was less than enthusiastic to be waiting on me. My food was decent and came from the kitchen in a reasonable amount of time. However, it's 2021 and I'm paying $18 a head, plus drink, to be treated like a nuisance. I will indeed take my business elsewhere.
Side note: I normally preach about tipping. This marks the first time I did not tip. This woman needs to go back to bossing a kitchen around instead of making customers...
Read moreThe girl at the front taking orders should have been cooking rather than trying to wait on customers. She was very poorly trained and needed more time learning the job before being released to the public. Your order person is the face of your business and should be someone who knows the meals, the prices, and the way yo run the register. All 3 were lacking on this day. On top of that, she was not friendly to her customers. Since it was not a busy time, she did come out and wipe off 1 table, but then went back to the register even tho there were no new customers and several remainingdirty tables left. The food prices have gone up yet again now leaving 1 - 7 buck meal and 1 - 8 buck meal. Everything else was even more. And instead of a nice size portion of fries, you get a very small serving. One if us ordered the $8 salad and had trouble finding the lettuce, the cheapest item in a salad - go figure. The cool "multi choice drink machine has been replaced with the regular 4 or 5 choice machine. It looked as if the whole metal face was starting to rust - not a pleasant thing to see when getting your drinks. This place used to be the cleanest and coolest place to eat. It's gone down hill in the last 6 years. Am sick of hearing that covid caused this type of problem. It's time to get over that and clean up your act. Where is the owner overseeing things? The few times we've been there, we've never seen anyone who looks like they’re in any type of managerial position. We won't be eager to return anytime soon. Hopefully someone who is in a position to upgrade this place reads this and really takes a hard look at what is being said here. It's not intended to rant but is actually trying to give...
