In 1942 my grandmother purchased a cardigan while on vacation in Italy, it was her favorite article of clothing until the fire in 85 that took everything she owned. I know, deep in my soul, if she were alive today.... eating at flickers in perrysburg would make her forget about that cardigan, it's that good.
Let's start with the positives, cell service. I had 4 bars of 5g the entire time I was in this place. It shows their attention to detail to ensure while shoving 3 full chickens down my gullet that I am able to share crab rangoon memes.
Another positive that shouldn't go under the radar is shane. This knight in frickers armor didn't remember me from high school (my real name is Emily Estevez, no relation) but that didn't stop him from refilling my diet Dr pepper 7 times. I was sick to my stomach after the 2nd gallon of soda but he seemed so excited to service me that I kept drinking... after he walked me to my car I thanked him for being so kind and he told me that I reminded him of his goldfish, because we had bulging eyes, sweetest. Man. Ever.
In all seriousness we need to discuss the cons to this place. In what world is it acceptable there to be only 2 flavors of white claws where one of them is natural lime? Here's a fun fact for you, when the creator of that flavor walks up the pearly gates of the lord, Peter is going to send that elevator down so fast. Enjoy those lime flavored flames... but what's worse than the man creating such a travesty? The patrons who order it in bulk. Nothing goes wjth top notch chicken better than bubble water that watched a video of 2 lime making out, barely even a hint of flavor....
All in all good experience. Wish they had lasagna, but as my grandpa always used to say, shut the hell up about that...
Read moreStopped here for dinner while traveling. The atmosphere is that if a friendly home town sports bar with TVs over a long bar when you walk in, bar lights and lots of sports memorabilia. Our server Mya was very friendly and checked back often regarding waters, beer refills and to check on us after we ordered and after our food came. We each ordered a beer and side salads (one Caesar and one side) to start while we checked over the extensive menu. They have daily wing specials so we decided to order 10 boneless each (Monday special .79 a wing) - one with sweet chili and one with BBQ (both on the mild spectrum). Celery and sauces are extra (.79 each for ranch, blue cheese and/or a plate of celery). We also ordered sides - the brew fries and the beans.
The salads were fresh and a nice start to the meal. The wings came soon afterwards and were very good. They were warm and crispy but not over cooked and covered with sauce. Both were quite mild - my preference was the sweet chili which had a slight hint of heat. The fries were perfect! They were crisp the way I like them and the side was a generous portion. My husband said the beans were good.
When we got our check we noticed (after the credit card was run) that we were not given the special price for the wings (a $4 difference for each meal - $8 total) and mentioned it to the server. She was apologetic that she hadn’t checked before running the card and reran it at the corrected price, exposing about the credit coming and all the receipts to be signed. She brought containers, lids for sauce and a bag for our left overs - we will have a second meal with what was left. Good wings, nice atmosphere and good service with good prices especially...
Read moreI really wanted to LOVE this bar. I had been reading about their wings and happened to be staying at a local hotel within walking distance and it was wing night! We sat in the bar area. Our server seemed to be super rushed. She spoke a million miles an hour. We asked about specials, but she didn't seem to know of any. (Including no mention of said wing night) I asked about beer specials a second time - still no. We then asked about the drink's prices - listed in the menu which showed everything except a price. She said she too didn't know the pricing of the drinks. I HATE when a restaurant refuses to tell you what the price of something you might want to order is. Feels like a total scam. She didn't seem to be willing to find out the prices of the drinks we asked about. Grrrrr. We ordered a dink she did know the price of and moved on. I ordered a beer (again no price listed or shared). I then went to the restroom and on my way saw advertisements for three different current beer specials. We then ordered wings. The first round came out naked - we ordered them medium. We ordered a second round of wings which came out with almost no sauce also. Really too bad. This place could be so good. The wings are of a high quality - just seemed like the staff (both kitchen and wait) need better training and oversight. Would I return? Solid maybe. To the leadership - either get some pricing on your drink menus or train the staff to know the pricing. We all know drinks can run from $3 to $13 or more. In this case we would have spent more money if they had their sh@# together. We then went back to the hotel and had a few drinks at the bar which was not the...
