Mancino's Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in Ohio

Have loved Mancino’s since I attended college at UofM, 20+ years ago. Whenever I visit, always get a sandwich for the road. This time no different. Food is amazing, nicely put together, and you get great portion sizes.

Only annoyance this time was the clerk didn’t return my credit card. I thankfully noticed it when I was getting food at another restaurant for my kids and called to confirm it was there. So I came back to retrieve it, and he didn’t take any accountability for not returning it. Instead said oh, it’s still here. So I offered advice, to avoid accidentally keeping a CC, return it to the customer with the receipt. Smiled and left.

Minor mistake, but could have been a big deal for me as we were heading back out of town.

We've been coming to this location for almost 30 years and have had the best food. But recently the service has gone down hill especially at the counter. I ordered our food and a drink. We were asked to tip, and when I said, "yes" I was asked, "how much". This is a rude approach to tipping. Then in a busy store as we were leaving the lady at the counter followed me to the door and said, "next time you are here you need to pay for your drink", in front of everyone. Yes, that's embarrassing, I explained that I ordered a drink, you gave me a cup, I assumed you charged me for a drink. She could have asked me while the store was empty, and I filled up my drink. Not happy with service, hope they replace counter help, or train them how to act...

My family and I have been long time customers of Mancino's and have loved the food. However, a week ago we stopped and made regular food purchases and their chocolate chip cookies. The grinders seemingly now are made with less meat and prices like everything else continue to increase. The cookies (total of 3 double packs) were so "crispy" they began breaking and falling apart before we could bite into them. We made the purchases for our elderly parent who has loved their cookies since they began selling them, but this purchase was a huge disappointment! I thought about calling and complaining, but have not done so even keeping 4 of the six total cookies still wrapped in the plastic wrap...
