I can say that I've given this place a fair chance. My first visit I got the Veggie sandwich. I VERY RARELY give a negative review but after two experiences and both SO bad, I have no choice. The veggie wrap was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten! It had a bunch of the worst avocado "stuff" that I've ever eaten, and I LOVE avocados. Then there was a few onion slices and two pickles. The mayo mixed with the avocado stuff tasted like soap. I live right by Pickleman's so wanted to give it a fair shot before giving up on it. My first trip over (I got pick up) the staff was not rude, but looked like their dog just died. They had no facial expression and just shoved the bag at me. My second trip over was even worse. I didn't have to pay, as the cashier put the amount in and walked away. I tapped my card and finished. She had already handed me my food, shoved the bag at me quickly and rudely (there were only a couple of people in the place.) It looked clean and the environment appeared nice. I had ordered over the phone. I got the tuna sandwich and asked if it came in a wrap, as the online menu showed pictures of sandwiches in a flour wrap. The guy taking the order over the phone, asked for my name three times He seemed confused or off task. I wouldn't have minded waiting on hold. When I got home and unwrapped the sandwich to find some tasteless tuna in a huge piece of lettuce, I wanted to cry. To add insult to injury, all that came w the "wrap" was the dry tasteless tuna and a bunch of chopped up lettuce (seriously? Lettuce in lettuce? ) that went everywhere. It was AWFUL!! The only positive was that the chocolate chip cookie was great. I'm so disappointed as this place is close enough to where I live that I can walk over. I had a bad stomach ache after eating. I wonder if it's the staff that didn't listen, threw a little bit of food at the order, as they truly seemed to hate their job. I see positive reviews for specific sandwiches. I may give one of those a shot. It's not cheap for what little I got, however I believe the prices are comparable to most other sandwich shops. I wish Jimmy Johns hadn't moved. They have...
Read moreI was really craving a chicken salad sandwich, but I didn't want to go to panera. I'd never been to Pickleman's so I thought I'd give them a shot. The first guy I talked to who prepped the bread and cheese was great, super nice. The other person, didn't say anything to me until I told her I wanted a drink and some chips. I got a strawberry lemonade, didn't start drinking it until I was already on the road... it was terrible. It just tastes like sugar with a hint of strawberry. The chicken salad had way too many cranberries, I picked 20 out of the other half of my sandwich. There were 2 big chunks of walnuts, and a few big chunky of celery. Basically I'd take a bite and it was either cranberries with chicken salad dressing or just walnut with the dressing or just celery with the dressing. I paid $4 and some change just for the drink and the little bag of chips. The sandwich was like $9, so my total for a crappy drink and a crappy sandwich (that thoroughly upset my stomach) was $14.
Hopefully the...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to try this place for the first time. We were on the way to Jimmy John’s but we saw the pickle man’s sign and thought, hey let’s go try it. We should’ve went with jimmy John’s. The environment itself is fine. I didn’t like that the cash register/the place you order is all the way to the left instead of it just being right in front of you a few steps after walking in, that was oddly confusing at first. Ordered our food, spent almost $30 for two small sandwiches and two drinks. For the price you pay to eat here you’d think your sandwiches would be a little bigger. The bread was falling split into half while eating it, a pound of lettuce, a pound of avocado sauce, and a very soapy taste to the sandwich. I didn’t like it, I couldn’t even finish half of my sandwich, that’s how bad it was. My boyfriend thought the same. I won’t be back here, it was just a waste of...
