I want to try this place today because I’ve heard such great things about it. I drive through I placed my order I hand her my card without thinking anything of it. When she hands me my receipt it says $18, and I’m sure that must be a mistake, seeing as how I only ordered one sandwich and a drink and fries to go with. I mean how in the world can even the best sandwich as a meal be $18? I got freaking chicken for goodness sake. She assured me this wasn’t a mistake, That they are just expensive. To which I said OK fine. My sandwich itself was nine dollars meaning that my fries and drink were nine dollars as well. So in my head I was excited to indulge on an excellent burger, thinking there’s no way I could be unsatisfied with such an expensive sandwich. I really want to go back and ask for my money. The chicken patty didn’t even begin to cover the button. The sandwich itself was about as thick as a McChicken from McDonald’s, in fact I would say the chicken patty on a Mc chicken is bigger. The only good thing I can say is that they cooked my fries the way I asked them to. Y could go down the road to Red Robin and get a much better burger or sandwich, for about eight dollars less. And that’s a chain! This place is supposed to be one of the best in town. How the hell did I spend $18 on one meal that I didn’t even get full on. Don’t waste your hard...
Read moreI've considered going here for a while (didn't originally know it's just another Tom's)...well, 2 cars in the left lane, 2 in the right...35 minutes later I got to the window...little did I know it was going to cost 50 dollars for 2 burger meals (one big Tom's deluxe one a deluxe cheeseburger), both with what was to be a "large" French fry and "large" drink with each. I'd say their "large" french fry was probably the size of a McDonald's medium, and that maybe being generous. Then, the "large soda" for 3.50, is a 20oz and with ice nets you approximately 11oz of soda (wow). For another few bucks with likely less wait time, I could have had 2 burger meals with proportionate sized sides and a couple of beers at The Ram. Then...the service. All kids that seem more interested in chatting with each other and minimizing customer service (I sat at the window for 5 minutes before a younger gal opened the window and said "uhhh have you been helped yet"...literally 5 minutes of sitting at the window after a half hour wait in line. Then you get to drive home and the food that at least tasted decent, is cold and has to be reheated anyways. Just not worth going to or...
Read moreUPDATE: this place must have new owners. I wrote this review five years ago. My friends from Florida tried it a few weeks ago and mentioned that it was actually pretty good and there were new owners so I tried it yesterday and I believe they were correct. it appears to be managed by different people now and the food although still very expensive for a burger is actually pretty good. I will try it again next week and if it’s still good, I might raise the review with another star.
This place is an overpriced dump and has been for the 5 years I have been around. The food is awful and the staff ignorant and unprepared for running a burger shack. $55 for 4 Cheeseburgers and 3 regular fries during happy hour. These kids appear to be Evergreeners who are about the most untrained and impolite kids around. They know absolutely nothing about making decent burgers. Not even a huge Gatorade could wash down these awful hockey pucks between stale buns with no fixins. Just plain awful. Mine was so bad I only wanted half then threw the rest away as it was not remotely suitable for saving. We messed up by not going all the way over to Toms where the best burgers are...
