My husband and I went to Lula B's for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We had a 30 minute wait before being seated. My husband enjoyed watching our position on the wait list. They text you the list so you can see in real time the seating opening up (a great communication system). We ordered the classic (poached eggs on an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, honey ham), country fried steak and eggs, and shrimp tacos. All the plates looked beautiful when they came out. On the classic plate the hash browns were not seasoned well. They were nicely crisped, but needed seasoning. The Hollandaise sauce was delicious, but both eggs were overcooked, one more than the other. They were almost hard boiled. The honey ham was good as were the English muffins. The Country Fried steak was okay, the breading came off easily, but it tasted good. The English muffin was good on this serving as well. The hash browns were better seasoned on that plate, but were soggy. One egg was overcooked and the other was over medium (which was how both were requested). The shrimp tacos were crispy and the slaw mix on top added a great freshness. The beans tasted like they came out of a can and the rice was majorly under-seasoned. The server was friendly, but was very busy and it showed in the service. Definitely not her fault! The entire restaurant was incredibly loud. This would not be a place I would recommend if you want to be able to hold a conversation with the people you're with. There isn't anything dampening the sound between tables. Glad we gave it a try, but I don't think we will be back.

We stayed in Omaha for a concert and based on reviews decided to try this place out. Our first impressions were not good. With all the people in town for the concert, would have figured staffing would be better, but it was clear that they were very understaffed (downtown Omaha in general seemed this way). After about 10 minutes of confusion (there was no host), we were seated. The menu is pretty standard for a non-chain breakfast restaurant. We only ordered and omelette and a spicy chorizo benedict. Both were good, but the hash browns that came with our entrees were the frozen variety. For the cost, I would have expected something fresh. Serving size was OK (no leftovers, which is good when traveling), but a bit on the pricy side for what we got (again, frozen hash browns). The best part of the meal was our waitress who was busting her butt to cover the host duties and seat people, the bar (at times making the drinks), and waiting and bussing her own tables. For the prices and quality of food, it was worth a try, but not sure I understand what they hype is for this restaurant. If we’re back in Omaha, we’ll find another local place to try out.

First time visitor to Lulu B’s situated just as you get off the interstate and come into downtown Omaha / Old Market. Parking is a bit tricky. We found a paid meter in the lot located behind Lulu B’s. Brunch on a Saturday is busy, waiting times vary, but expect to wait for outside and inside dining. We were sat in the back area where there were large parties of families - screaming children, so our noise level experience is a bit jaded. Servers had their hands full with the larger parties - service was subpar. Our #1 rule for a good tip and recommendation is to always have our cups/glasses full glass of water, or beverage, especially if there is no food provided or food just served. We were asked if we wanted a refill after our plates had been removed. We sat through waiting, brunch and getting our ticket with empty glasses. A lot of servers walking around doing nothing… Food was good. Nothing over the top, hashbrowns not crispy as we would like when we asked - good flavor. We’d come back and try again maybe in the fall or winter when not as many people out and about. Recommend: Yes, we plan to try again.

We waited 30 minutes for a table, we waited 2 hours for food. I asked our server, Angel, if she could check on our order because it had been over an hour. She came back 15 minutes later asking what we had. Essentially taking our order again. Obviously she forgot to put it in. But when we asked again how much longer it would be for our food, we were told to " Calm down," And "the kitchen staff is new and doing the best they can." At this point, i asked to have her send over the manager. No, you are not going to tell me to calm down when all im doing is asking a question. I told the manager that Angels service was seriously lacking in that we only had our coffee warmed up once in 2 hours and was rude to us when i asked about our order. The manager told us she would " try to comp our order." And almost immediately our food magically arrived. It was still wrong however, i ordered toast, not pancakes, and when i asked for toast she practically threw it on the table. Now to be fair, everyone around us seemed to have a great experience. Their servers were attentive and 4hey all seemed to get their food in a timely manner. When i brought this to Angel's attention, she argued with me saying that the people next to us were here before us. They absolutely were not. The food and coffee was excellent. We ate and left without waiting for the bill. This is the first time in my 55 years I have ever left without paying. But we ordered eggs and toast. It does not take 2 1/2 hours for eggs. My advice, it is excellent food and the atmosphere is awesome. Just beware because Angel is...

What a bad experience on Mother’s Day. This place is clearly screaming “not kid friendly”. We were visiting Omaha and wanted to have a nice brunch with our cousins. We got sat within 30 minutes which was great HOWEVER when I put our name in I said I needed a high chair. When we got sat we did not get one as my cousins baby is 8 months old and can’t sit in a seat/booster yet. We get greeted and our waitress(Casey) we could already tell she wasn’t either one having a good day or annoyed. After getting drinks we asked again for a high chair and she stated “WE ONLY HAVE 3” I was shocked. 3 high chairs for a restaurant is ridiculous plus it was MOTHERS DAY. I also have a baby (5 months old) who didn’t lucky need anything since she stayed in her car seat and doesn’t eat solids. We got our food with no silverware to eat and everytime we needed something we felt like asking our waitress it was an inconvenience for her by the way she would respond/give off. Come to find out why! When we received our bill we were charged a large table charge of 20% tip?!?! WHAT?! we asked for a manager who stated any party 6 or more. I said uh Okay? Where’s our 6? It was me, my husband, my 5 month old, my cousin her husband and her 8 month old. THEY COUNTED my 5 month old who stayed in her car seat which was NOT at the table as part of the party of 6! my baby didn’t eat didn’t make a mess didn’t even cry. Never will we EVER support this company ever again and if ever asked I’ll warn others never to go. This company should be ashamed as a...
