The last time we ate at Ralphie's it was here at the Oregon location & we waited 15 min to even get anyone to take our drink order, which I had to wave someone down. Then 15 min later they finally brought is our drinks. Still nobody took our order & the person that brought our drinks wasn't even our waitress. So another 10 min go by, it's now been 40 min and no waitress to take our order, 30 min to get a drink & the whole time we keep seeing to go orders constantly going out the door by the girls. (I seriously thought about getting up & grabbing one of those ti go orders & take it back to my table & start smashing & then tell them to bill me & the cook will have to remake that order.) I was pregnant & starving keep in mind so my patience up until this point had been stellar, but I could not take any more of this ridiculousness. I tried my cool by joking that we should dine & ditch (which I've never done in my life because I don't believe in stealing), but we couldn't because we would have to actually eat to do that. Anyways I waved down some other girl cleaning the empty dining area, YES WE WERE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THE DINING ROOM, and I told her to please bill me for the drinks that had taken us 30 min to get 2 pops in a dead restaurant & it had been 40 min & nobody had taken our order yet. She asked if I wanted to soak to a manager I told her no because I really don't want to make a scene screaming at him & I'm pregnant & need food RIGHT NOW especially after waiting 40 min & nobody even took our order that I was now leaving & forced to eat fast food because I'm famished. She said don't worry about the drinks & did she was so sorry, we left and have not been back. I thought it was just the Oregon location but after reading reviews of this Perrysburg one, I'm thinking is company wide at all locations. I always thought sitting customers came first & if they are just flat out going to ignore dine-in customers then they should close the sitting area & make it a to go restaurant only; reviews for the Perrysburg location also complain about excessively & unusually...
Read moreEDIT- Now after being told to contact them about my experience they have failed to get back with me about doing so and it has now been over a month and no contact from them...Dissapointment... Thats about how I would sum up my recent visit to Ralphie on Navarre Ave. In Oregon Ohio. Let me start by saying this its the day after Christmas so like many people I did not want to cook today, so I say why not get food from one of our favorite restaurants. I placed a carryout order over the phone, 25 minutes later I arrive to pick it up as they said thats when it would be done. Upon walking into the restaurant I realized this was not going to be a great experience as the bar is elbow to elbow. I stand back and wait for a server as the bar is so packed I cannot even pickup my order at the order pickup area because they have allowed people to drink in that area now too, then am told I have to stand in this crowd of people to pickup my order and pay and the person next to me is literally touching me we are so close to each other and to top it off not a single person other than the waitress and manager were wearing a mask no social distancing was happening in this restaurant at all. Shame on Ralphie's for allowing this to happen. Then I arrive home with the food and pray that the worst of the experience is behind me, low and behold the food is terrible my soft pretzels rock hard and over cooked my chicken chunks like rubber and not just one order this way but both separate orders exactly the same it was like chewing on a football and the ones that weren't as chewy as beef jerky were just plain burnt. This has hands down went over with me as one of the worst restaurant pickup experiences to date. Shame on you Ralphie! In the day when most restaurants are stepping it up to make people feel more welcome and safe I feel as if this was a step in the absolute opposite direction. GET...
Read moreThis is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Toledo. Why is that a salient point? Because you may find yourself getting out of a Mud Hen's game on a Saturday night at 10 PM, only to discover that most of downtown Toledo's restaurants are closed. Not quite a big city. After walking the streets to discover this disappointing reality, my crew and I decided to head over to this section of Navarre Street. With the plethora of eateries, surely something would be open. We got lucky with Ralphie's. This visit was one of necessity--we were not seeking out a Ralphie's experience, but here we were. As Stephen Stills says, "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with." The decor has not been updated for what appears to be about 35 years. But that's alright; I wasn't looking for ambiance in Oregon, OH. The menu had everything you could ever want from a Burger/Wings/Beer joint. We were pretty basic that night, a couple of cheeseburgers with a side of fried mushrooms. As usual, I requested my rare burger, and it was medium well. I've just learned to accept it. Overall, nothing at all worth writing about. However, the service was outstanding. Our waitress was all bubbly, fun, courteous, and responsive. That was uplifting after a frustrating search to finally arrive here. The manager was helping out, and he was all smiles too. When we finally entered the place it was within 30 minutes of closing, but they assured us that we wouldn't be booted exactly at that time. They were happy to give us time to finish our food. Food - average casual fare. Prices - just fine. Decor - 30 years dated. Service - top notch. Convenience - one of the only places open and surprisingly close to downtown! I will be keeping this place high on my list for the service and...
