Holy Taco in Orem is a must-visit for any taco lover in the area. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The menu is filled with delicious Mexican street food dishes, but their al pastor tacos are the standout item.
The al pastor tacos are made with tender pork that has been marinated in a blend of spices, pineapple, and chili peppers before being cooked on a vertical spit. The result is meat that is juicy, flavorful, and just a little bit spicy. The tacos are served on soft corn tortillas and topped with fresh cilantro, diced onions, and a squeeze of lime.
What sets Holy Taco's al pastor tacos apart from others in the area is the attention to detail and quality of ingredients. The pork is perfectly cooked, and the toppings are fresh and vibrant. The restaurant also offers a range of house-made salsas, which add an extra layer of flavor to the tacos.
In addition to the al pastor tacos, Holy Taco also offers a range of other delicious dishes, including carne asada, shrimp ceviche, and elote. Their drink menu includes a variety of Mexican sodas, agua frescas, and margaritas.
Overall, Holy Taco is a must-visit for anyone in the Orem area looking for delicious Mexican street food. Their al pastor tacos are the perfect blend of spicy and savory, and the restaurant's welcoming atmosphere makes for a memorable dining experience. Best...
Read moreI was a little reluctant to try out a place that only served al pastor items. I figured that I would be sick of it and wouldn’t want to order too much.
Well, I was wrong! This place does a great job of making authentic al pastor tacos. I ordered a gringa and 3 tacos, and I wanted more! Now i try to find an excuse or occasion to go there.
Now, the reason why i give it a 4 out 5 stars are two reasons. 1) As I mentioned, the lack of diversity of foods. I get that the whole point of the place is to be al pastor but at least have different options like burritos, salads, and etc. 2) The main reason, price. Because of the serving size, you have to order more. I went with just my wife and i and it came out to $26. The first time we went it came out to $23. There is no way a taco joint should ever be that much. So change your pricing.
Also, quick note, ADD pineapple to the gringa. It would be a lot better and give it more flavor.
I would honestly go here 2-3 times a month but the price isn’t worth it so I might just go once a month instead.
UPDATE: went back 10 months later, on Friday night. And for some reason at 7:35 pm they ran out of the only thing...
Read moreI served a mission in Mexico City. Tacos al pastor are one of the best foods that has ever existed on this earth. I’ve tried over 100 places in Utah, Las Vegas and Los Angelos. Even the places that people tell me are authentic end up being a disappointment. Holy Tacos wasn’t a disappointment. You can immediately tell they have an influence from Mexico City in one way or another.. they are absolutely amazing! The thin slices with no fat or grit and layered with pineapple and perfect salsa is exactly what I would expect to get at the best locations in Mexico City. If you want to eat a real taco. This is the place. I did notice they use the choppy ends and poorer quality meat for their gringas. But I still give them a 5 star review because they are the only authentic al pastor tacos I’ve had in the United States. Tell everyone about this place and keep them in...
