My review is based on my experience with the membership. I had signed up over a year ago and had several credits I needed to use up. I am pregnant so the timing worked out great for me to come get regular massages. The problem is I went through 3 or 4 massage therapist that were so so nice but just did not get the job done. My membership I belive was about $70/month 1 massage per month. Plus the suggested tip amount is $15-$25 so messages cost nearly $100 per massage so 3-4 mediocre massages is quite expensive to not leave feeling great. Then after several prenatal massages, they forgot that mine was prenatal and the massage therapist kept apologizing that the front desk didn't tell her and that I'll have to come back and get a real prenatal massage next time. It will be so much better. Then the front desk lady upcharged me $10more for the prenatal massage Which they had never done before and I was kind of taken back that they had never charged it and apparently she forgot to tell the therapist so she didn't have the right cushions for the prenatal massage. I also asked every time how many credits I had left because I wanted to just use them up and be done with them. She asked me if I wanted to rebook. She let me know that I had one more credit on my account. So I rebook to use the last credit, but then when I went to leave a tip she charged me for a full massage. I let her know that last time she told me that I had another credit and that was the reason I booked. It honestly just felt messy on the front end. I did in the end find someone I really liked for my massages but I just don't want to keep having mix ups everytime I get a massage. At this point for the amount of money I spent, I wish I could say it was worth it. I really just felt trapped in and was never told about up charges upfront. Glad to not be locked in to use up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou couldnāt pay me to come back here. My facial was good. Iāve had better and Iāve had worse. The reason for my low rating is how I was treated by the staff after my treatment.
I politely told the cute girl who gave me my treatment I didnāt need any product. After overhearing that conversation, the red-ish haired girl at the front desk verbally accosted me. Telling me that āyou skin is just going to go back to the way it wasā āhereās a tip: use your current stuff on your bodyā and implying my skin would be bad forever if I didnāt buy their stuff. Okay. Iāll just go ahead and use my current $70 face cream as a body lotion. It was very much mean-girl, bully energy and I literally cried when I got in my car. I wish I had recorded the exchange bc it was so unbelievable.
You could tell the other girl at the front desk was very uncomfortable during the exchange as she wouldnāt make eye contact and put me out of my misery.
Anyway. Iāll be keeping my membership at Brick Canvas where I am happy to buy lots of product because they are kind, make me feel beautiful and have earned my trust.
Edit: I realized when I pulled into my garage that it was the time my facial was scheduled to end. I understand that their appointment times include undressing and redressing. But Iām still trying to figure out how it included new client paperwork, the show put on by the front desk girl AND my drive back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wish I could give them zero stars. I live out of state and scheduled a massage online for my mom for Mother's Day. My mom came into her appointment and they asked if she wanted to use the card on file. She said the massage had already been paid for and didn't have a card on file. They decided it would be a good idea to keep my card on file. Yes, they illegally kept my card on file. My mother booked another massage with them that went horribly and she was in so much pain she decided not to return and canceled her membership she signed up for. Then low and behold guess who's card is now getting charged for her monthly membership. Yes friends, mine. Not only did they keep my credit card after a one time purchase, they didn't delete it after she gave them her card, and then the continued to charge it after she canceled her membership. How are they even open! This janky back room massage studio now says, even though I have proof on my credit card statement that they don't have a card on file nor do they have any proof of any transactions. My bank statement says otherwise thank you very much. AND the cherry on top is that because they are seen as a "valid" store my bank says it is not fraud. All I have to say is, just say no. They will rip you off and...
