We got there just before 9:30 (they close at 10), and a guy comes and flips some sign letting us know that all that's left is the buffet, they stop making fresh food. No more sushi bar. Okay, I guess that's understandable when its 30 min before close. So after checking the buffet to see what was left, we decided to stay because they still had a handful of items we like. Well, as we are getting our food I can't help but to notice them cleaning everything VERY quickly and loudly. I'm in the buffet area trying to avoid being splashed with mop water, and avoid running into scattered mop buckets! We quickly got our food and sat down. Luckily we got enough food the first go, because they started ripping the buffet area apart! As far as the food, not all that great, half the items were cold and mushy. We decided we were done and decided to go pay and leave. This is where things get even better. The man gave us a discount, I kid you not, for "eating so quickly"... okay that was nice? We go to pay and this person who just brought us drinks comes running to take our card. They take my husbands card and are doing all these quick exchanges between each other, before finally putting the card in the machine in front of us. We decided not to tip because of our experience, plus all that was actually served to us was two drinks. No refills, they didn't clear our plates, etc because they were so focused on cleaning the place so they could go home. Well, the waiter watched my husband put $0, and sign the receipt. He then HELD OUT HIS HAND, and ASKED FOR A TIP! WOW!!! I will definitely be keeping the receipt and will constantly be checking our credit card statements now. Luckily, we are only visiting the area, but I would never go back. Do not go here at night and expect to eat a nice hot meal and relax, because you will walk out as...
Read moreUpon entry I noticed the koi pond, signs about leftovers and the 90 rating from the health department. I was quickly welcomed and sat to my table. Host and the server was really friendly and prompt to refill your drinks and remove any dishes. Everything else went downhill from there. I first went to go try some sushi that was available for dinner. Selection was very scarce and not that many options to choose from. The temaki rolls had way too much sushi rice and was almost mashed to a paste. The spicy tuna roll tasted like not to fresh fish. I passed on finishing my other pieces and moved on to the main buffet.
There is an hibachi station that I rjn by the sushi chef as well. There were a few people ordering at the time. So I planned on coming back here after a round at the ain't portion.
Alot of the food looked like they have been out longer for 2 hours. I skipped around to try some of the more appealing selections. I could go on telling you every item I've tried but it would be easier telling you the items I did enjoy. The pepper steak was tender and seasoned well. The fried crispy whole shrimp was good as well. I did notice one of the cooks replacing the salt & pepper chicken and picked some up being so called hot and fresh. Unfortunately when I sat down the so called fresh chicken wasn't even hot and barely warm. It wasn't even crunchy. I started to have some concern for my health and didn't want to get sick, so I opted out of dessert and left instead.
All in all. I wouldn't recommend this buffet at all. There are so many better options in the area. It's so unfortunate because I like this company but this location needs alot of...

Finally I was able to eat at Ichiban Asian Buffet and let me just say, the sushi was good!
For two months, I been reluctant to eat raw fish from a an Asian all you can eat, out of fear of getting sick.
When I was in Panama City Beach I went to another Asian chain, Jin Jin, and it was horrendous! But I’m glad to say, Ichiban was by far, so much better.
Although I did not have the chance to sample all the food, I will tell you, the sushi was very good and it seemed fresh. Even if you just go there for all you can eat sushi, at $11.95 for dinner, you can spend hours just eating sushi.
They also had rows and rows of fresh cooked food, but I only sampled a few things, like the fresh salmon, crabmeat, and even some baked oysters. In addition you had a soup counter, salad counter, and the rows of hot Chinese dishes.
They also had a hibachi table and chef but I didn’t get a chance to sample it. The place itself is rather ample, and the rows of food, take up a large portion of the center of the restaurant.
The one disappointing thing was dessert. The fruits they had available did not look ripe and the servers needed to be replenished. The pastries were barely noticeable, however they had plenty of ice cream.
Anyway by the time I got to the dessert I was so incredibly full, I didn’t crave anything sweet until about two hours later, when I started getting hungry all over again!!
For all of you sushi eaters, I highly recommend their sushi. It seems to be of a better quality than your run of the mill Japanese restaurant, and I didn’t...
