I'd leave 0 stars but that's not an option. Time of visit was 3:12am at Sat Oct 26.
Let me preface by saying I've been in hospitality for 30 years, and still am. I am a GM and trainer, and daily remind my staff that we do food up to the last order. It sucks, but that's the industry.
Tonight I worked a 12 hour shift, my fiancee worked 8 and got home at 2:55am. When she got here she confessed that she REALLY wanted Taco Bell. We Google search and find that lo and behold this location is open until 4am, so we jump in the car and drive 15 minutes to get there.
Upon entering the drive thru the automated, "Thank you for choosing Taco Bell" starts, but is interrupted by a young lady saying, "One minute please." and then she proceedes to yell at a co worker about not reusing a cup and throwing it away before asking, " Have you placed a mobile order? " I respond with a no, we're just there for a black bean crunch wrap supreme. She cuts me off, informing me that their system is down and they can only do mobile orders. Excited, my fiancee asks, " Oh okay, so if we order on the app we can still get food? "
To which the young woman responds, in a sassy tone, " I don't know, my system just isn't letting me ring in food, ask corporate it's their problem."
We ask again, "So, we can order on the app?"
To which she responds angrilly, "Pull forward, please and thank youuuuuu."
We pull up, behind a white sedan which seems to be waiting for their order. A young woman in a head wrap leans out the window, and yells towards my car something about a mobile order, but I can't hear her, and to be honest it's awkward and combative so I ignore her both times she screams at me.
When we pull up, a polite young man is there, not a young woman. He says, " Did you make a mobile order? "
I respond, confusedly, " No, we never got a response, if we make a mobile order can we still order?"
Nervously he responds, " Well we're out of food so we can't do any orders. "
Confused even more I ask, "I'm confused, you're out of food or your system is down?" He looks back to the kitchen nervously, as someone yells from the back, "I'm not making anymore d* food."
I tell him I'm in the industry, and am getting annoyed by the run around, I tell him that we've driven 15 mins to get one item, and he deffers to an older woman, apparently named Erika? who enters the window. She say's, " What do you need? "
I explain my confusion, how we were told both they aren't doing orders except online, and they have no food, to which she responds with a THIRD reason, that they closed at 3am. I let her know that their website, AND Google show 4am, to which she say's they're wrong, and they don't do food after 3am. I let her know that I'm confused, that the first person said they are only doing mobile orders, the second person (The young man) said they're out of food, and now she is saying they're closed.
At this point the young woman with a septim ring, who I assume I spoke to through the order system, comes forward and starts to yell at us about not taking orders.
At this point I'm done, and tell them to have a good night. The young woman leaned out the window and sassilly yelled, "Have a good niii-iiiight!"
I have all of this recorded, and will never goto this Taco Bell again. Which is really sad as this used to be my favorite location. I've been going to Taco Bell for over 35 years, but never have I ever had this happen in any restaurant.
At LEAST get your stories straight. Are you closed? Are you mysteriously out of food, or are you out of food because of a HUGE convention and YOUR location is simply the BEST in Orlando?!?!? OOOOOR Is has your system crashed because you've been SOOOOOO busy that you can't do anything but online ordering because that's the only screen that's working currently.
This is hospitality 101, but they couldn't even get that straight. At least tell me you're out of tortillas because of the supply chain from the hurricane and the dockworkers strike. Don't yell at me and my fiancee who only wanted a crunch wrap...
Read moreWould you go to a "fast food" resturant that takes 10 minutes to order and then 15 minutes to get your food. Then the coke is out; sweet tea at the fountian station is out. Its takes 7 minutes to get some attention to let them know the coke is out. An employee walks up and I ask could they change the coke, its out. Her response was ask the cashier. She could of used her mouth and said can someone change the coke. A customer in front of me asked for tea from the drive thru when she got it it was sour. She asked for her money back. This was at dinner time. This store is in a high end area in Orlando, Fl. so for this store to have really bad customer service and the store to be trashed like it was is very unacceptable. When the manager was asked to come and see me, yes he appoligized, gave me corporate number and went back to his office; did nothing to help or clean the store. As I ate I watched the cashier go and empty the trash while her back was to the counter; ignoring 6 people waiting to place an order. At that point I got sick to my stomach; because of the cleanliness of the store and had to leave. I called customer service automated phone said sorry we are closed. Called corporate office number and got thru to lodge my complaint. Was told I would hear from someone with in 3 business days. Have not heard from anyone; even had to call back....Still no response. Sooo social media heren I am. My experience shows me we are just dollar signs to them not people. I would NOT recommend this taco bell...
Read moreI have never experienced such a dreadful restaurant visit, and I’m usually not that hard to please. From the moment we walked in, the freezing, unwelcoming atmosphere already gave a bad impression — cold, sterile, and completely lacking any warmth.
The situation only got worse. After a ridiculously long wait — during which the staff actively avoided taking our order — we finally placed it, only to receive the wrong items. There was no apology, no effort to correct the mistake, just an indifferent shrug.
The drink options were just as disappointing. There were barely any choices, only highly-caffeinated energy drinks, with no possibility of getting simple water or a regular soft drink. It felt like we were being forced to pick from whatever awful, chemical-tasting beverages they had available.
The environment was generally dirty and poorly maintained. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority in this place.
The staff were extremely rude, uncooperative, and shockingly struggled to communicate even basic English, making every interaction feel exhausting and frustrating.
And the food? Absolutely disgusting. Cold, poorly prepared, and made with ingredients that seemed anything but fresh. It was honestly hard to believe this came from a restaurant chain as big as Taco Bell.
Overall, Taco Bell in Orlando managed to turn a simple meal into a complete nightmare. I wouldn’t recommend...
